Default speed shift with nitrous?

I've had my 75 shot runing for awhile now and just wanted to double check that other ppl have tried speed-shifting while on the bottle...I have the window/TPS switch, with my rpm window set from 3.3K to 6.5K - even if i screw up and bounce off the rev limiter, since my window switch is set to stop spraying above 6.5K rpms i should be okay, right?

thanks,
Peter

*My system is set-up so that once i turn on the ARM switch, as soon as my tps/window switch activates I spray.

Yes thats fine. A speed shift is lift throttle anyway so no WOT no nitrous, plus you have a window switch your fine....btw that way you have it set-up is wrong. If you accidently have it on, and dont go WOT it will spray? Thats hooptie man...

i dont think it would spray unless he is at wot. i think what he meant he has an rpm window where it sprays and an arm switch that arms the wot switch so when his peddle is on the floor it clicks it srpays between that window. but speed shifting shouldnt be a problem, i wouldnt recomend it unless u ve had allot of practice with it though

Speed shifting is lifting off the gas and shifting as fast as you can-whats dangerous about that?? LOL, I know guys who powershift on nitrous with no window switch!

sorry, wrong word, I meant power-shifting...not lifting the throttle when shifting. I 'power-shift' when I'm at the drags. (I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something...since our TB is electronically controlled, I wasn't sure if there could be a delay or something else that would be going on)

The other concern I've thought of is that when I power-shift, I'll remain at WOT, and once I shift ot the next gear and the rpm's start to drop as the clutch re-engages, the nitrous would start to spray while the clutch would not be fully engaged...since I'm on a OE clutch, is there a greater chance of it over-powering the clutch or wearing it out much faster?

system set-up:
-Arm switch closes circuit to tps/window switch (dynotune tps/window switch)
-once tps and window switch requirments are met, nitrous engages.

thanks - Peter

If I was gonna power shift Id set the controller at 6300rpm's to ensure it wasnt spraying on the shift....

i figured u meant powershifting. not speed shifting. but powershifting u have an rpm window switch and if u know how to powershift right u should be fine. and i didnt say theres anything wrong with it but u might have a wot switch without rpm switch and u go to shift and press gas too far in and it clicks activating ur solenoid while in neutral it wont be good thats why i said if he does it rigth he will be fine. sick ride btw alberto. also good question about clutch i want to know the answer too i have a unorthdox racing clutch and flywheel which idk if i should install before my nitrous kit gets installed. or jsut use oem? i would rather save the clutch when i go turbo thats why im not sure if i should put it on now or not any suggestions?

powershifting scares me, ive never been able to do it cus im too nervous of potential damage. i gave up trying after a few passes at the strip.
but yea if i were you, personally id feel more comfortable with the rpm switch maybe just a little bit lower.
