i just bought a zex kit form another member. if i put in the 100 shot with one step colder plugs on my 06 with no timiming retard, would i be having any problems? (i did research too before anyone gets mad, but would rather have it 100% confirmed).

This has been covered in other posts, but I'll go over it again.

You can run up to 150 shot without management....would I do it? No. Have other done it successfully without blowing anything up? Yes. If you're running 100 shot, I'd invest in a reflash or a UTEC. That way, you can clean up the A/F ratio and retard timing when needed. Or you could play with the fuel jets to get the A/F ratio right when spraying which would only cost you dyno time. If you don't mind running rich on 100 shot, then go right ahead....otherwise, have it tuned (with management or just using the dyno). The 75 shot jets make a pretty good A/F ratio when spraying....Gives you about 100-125 lbs of torque too. A search on the nitrous forum will uncover plenty of ppl who have run 100 shot stock, without any problems...but like I said, use your own judgement.

There is no way to tell definitely. Yes, you should be fine, but what we are basically telling you with a big disclaimer is that the suggested jets from the manufacturers do not guarantee a perfect A/F ratio throughout the powerband.
I personally would not run 100 shot without some sort of engine management despite what others have done, and much less with no dyno time to atleast know where my A/F ratios are at.

you can safely run a hundred shot if you have some way of telling your AF ratios and adjusting the fuel jets accordingly...
