I'm seriously considering NOS for my 350Z (wet), I want to hear any feedback from fellow Z owners that are running NOS, Zex, etc. How much HP increase? Was it worth it? Would you do it again if you had the chance? My main concern is the engine itself, I know any engine mod will reduce the life expectancy of the engine, so I just need input from people that has been there, done that. Thanks!

I vote ZEX Wet Kit # 82021 with 65 HP Jets for a couple bottles and then up it to 75HP. I also reccomend their plugs too. Actually I wouldn't do it with out changing plugs. I had NOS before, I would get their direct port fogger lit, it's about the best around but the kit alone is 1300 dollars, just the kit! You definately want wet with this car.

Can't find a safer kit than Zex, claener install and better tech support.

I have the kit and love their product. I had allot of fun with a Blue Acura on the freeway today.

Man those things are fast. I didn't even know what it was till I slowed down from 112 mph and moved over a lane, he was right behind me and gave me a thumbs up.

He had a race muffler, rims and clear lights in the back (all after market) and 35 % tint on all 5 windows (illegal here.) It looked like a late 90's model? I'm not familar with them but the car was damn quick. I squeezed and was gone but he was keeping up with me! He wanted to play more but traffic conditions became unsafe as we approached some cars and I shut it down.

I would like to see what he had if I ever see him again.

 

So, I'm assuming your running a 75hp shot. Is it somewhat safe to spray that much? Also, I've read a couple of posts that after using nitrous some Z owners would have the check engine light come on. Did you ever have such a problem? If you did, how did you fix it? BTW: How fast did you get your Z up to when you where racing?

I have a 65HP shot for now, I'm gonna switch to 75HP soon.

There is a thread on the check engine light, I don't have the problem it's voltage related but this car is so smart it seems to learn the voltage and adjust I guess. Mine went out and never came back on. Try the search feature for all that info.

What is the Doh! for? I smoked the car and could have even done it worse we were just having fun. Sportsmanship is part of the fun. He knew I smoked him that's why he thumbs upped me, but I still give the car props because I was at 112mph in seconds coming from a slow roll onto the freeway from the on ramp. Not just any car would have been right behind me that fast, maybe he was squeezing too, I honestly don't know what he had.

I asked, "BTW: How fast did you get your Z up to when you where racing?" Then when I looked over your previous post you said, "I slowed down from 112 mph." So, that's why I posted DOH, it wasn't toward you, it was toward myself. Guess I should read more throughly.
I was also meaning to ask you, how often do you spray? Are you concerned with your warranty? Happy racing!

Ive got the NOS setup..Very happy with it so far, no problems..ill email some pics to your interested..

Well it varies, I am practicing for aN upcoming trip to the track so for instance yesterday I sprayed about 3 times. I would say if it were to be mathematicly averaged it would be once a week. The ZEX 10 lb bottle has always been around 800 but it's starting to warm up here.

As for warranty, I do not want to jinx myself but bottom line answer...

Nah. By the time I am done with my car a Dealership mechanic wouldn't even recognize my setup

By then I will be on to a new project anyway!

But don't do as I do just because I do it. If you have concerns of warranty at all do not install N20.

I don't have any worries about it hurting my car, but removing it for claim work would be a pain.
