I have a pop charger, MREv2, 5/16 spacer, test pipes, Borla TD, Utech and a 125 NX shot... Just wanted to know if you guys are powershifting on spray??? I have my Utec setup as a window switch so even if I over rev or miss a gear the spray cuts out but still dont know if I should powershift... Please let me know...

what rpm does your engine redline at and when do you cut the nitrous out at.

 

Some do, some don't. I won't be when I hit the track. Not worth damaging anything IMO, especially with the tranny problems the Z has.

 

Cut out is at 6700...

 

I did...but not every gear. 2 to 3 would break the tires loose.

Hey, any of you guys squeeze on 1st gear??? I ask cause where I run everbody does a rolling 1st run and I have to play catch up once I spray in 2nd... From a nice 3-4 thousand rpm roll is it safe to spray... I have 20's with 295's in the back so I dont think traction will be that bad...

 

hey do you ever come out to the miami z/g meets on wednesdays???

 

1st gear is very short and 9 times out of 10, you'll spin the tires. I never spray in first....I would spin with just a 75 shot. Gotta keep in mind that when you flip that switch....the extra power is instant. That's why you spin.

spraying in first will knock 2 to 3 tenths off your quarter mile times easily, i always spray in first when i have traction.


i shift really fast and lift up the gas just a bit on nitrous to kick the tps switch off...

 

haha...If I had slicks, I would too. lol

 

buy some!!!! they arent expensive and they are well worth it...
