Audible M. - utec/nitrous help!
Jeremy, when you have the utec setup as the TPS, will it throw the ground under load only. I was launching at almost 6500 rpm's and thats where I shift also. I was wondering if I could set my rev limit to 6500 and kinds use it as a two step. Basically, you'd be able to floor it and have it bounce off 6500 at the line. But this will only work if it won't throw the ground until load. Your thoughts?

well a two step is to build boost off the line, i actually am not sure what your question is??
if you are wanting to floor it and not hit the nitrous, then just put the nitrous on a button too, then you will have to meet ALL the requirements to have nitrous.

you set it to come on at a certain wide open throttle position and a certain RPM window. i can not get it to control nitrous with version 2.8 yet one of the reasons they made 2.8 was to fix the spare solenoid problem. (told by turboxs)
i have tried MANY times to get 2.8 to work with it, it just doenst work to control nitrous, i just put 2.6 in there and it works perfectly every time.
good luck man

I think I made this a little confusing. We have the utec controlling the nitrous as you explained. What I'm wondering is if the utec will activate the nitrous at WOT with no load. Because I'm at 6500 rpm's at launch, if I accidentally have it at full throttle, will the utec send the ground to the nitrous relay or will it only do this when there's load on the motor. I don't want to accidentally spray nitrous when keeping my rpm's up.
I guess I could disconnect the nitrous line, put it in neutral, floor it and see if it activates the nitrous.

YES the nitrous will fire, if you put it on the dashboard and watch the on off status of the spare solenoid , you can watch it.
change to the 2.6 version, i dont care what turboxs tries to say, i have TONS of nitrous/utec cars running around and 2.8 hasnt worked correctly yet...

email me at the email in my sig and when i get back from the track i can send it to you, its on my other laptop.
thanks man!!
if you watch the dashboard on the utec, you can ON/OFF for the spare solenoid, if it is working then its your wiring. good luck
