jksstars nitrous dyno graphs...
as promised, nitrous is fun!! we here are trying to push the envelope with the nitrous community, we planned on doing a decent nozzle jet and then upgrading it to a BIG direct port. looks like we will be doing the direct port sooner than expected
this was done on a built motor, arias ed pistons 9 to 1 and eagle rods. i pretty much got it all together and went through TWO bottles tuning it with in a 24 hour period. i got everything set up sooooo safe and smooth as hell.
i used the utec to dump a lot of fuel in cause the nitrous seem to hit before the fuel could get there out of the nozzle. this was all done on a jet that we figure to be right over a 175 hp shot. we tuned the car with the utec during a hot day to hit 243 as well, i never thought we would hit that with a low compression motor with stock exhaust.
going from under 190 ft pounds of tq to almost 500 in about 300 rpms is just SICK!!!
all was fun and games until we possibly lifted the heads, i am going to tear it back apart and take care of it and see what happened. i am sure that pushing the motor that hard and that much nitrous did it, i talked to the machine shop and they said its too many heat cycles too soon on the motor.
this was with a stock headgasket and arp head studs tqed down to 85 ft pounds. we are going to do a HKS headgasket and probably use some new stock head bolts. i love the stock head bolts, they are beefy and have a nice coverage area on the head of the bolt.
Justin (jksstar) is one of the coolest customers i have and very understanding on the whole situation, he just laughs at it all like i do!!!
enjoy the graphs, also, one of the graphs had a slight knock at 4000, so thats what the dip is, i had the sensitivity turned WAY up on the utec to pick up anything.
i think that 175 is just too much for a nozzle shot to be dispersed evenly, will we be back even stronger here soon... btw ask justin how fast the car was hahaha it was disgustingly fast!!!
again , justin, thanks for being soo cool !!!

the thing rolled out for sure, never dreamed it would pull like that, seemed like as soon as I shifted I had to shift again
the issue with the heads is just one of those things, but the car is in great hands and Jeremy went out of his way to help me. Very thankful I took the car to him.
Thanks for all the work and time you have put in to the car

heres my old dyno with my n/a #s and 100 shot
http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3891044
if you look at the bottle #s I'm making around 60hp and 110tq more then the old set up, and even with the low compression the car made more power n/a, think it was 245whp. Don't think its bad at all since I don't really have alot of bolt ons
just wanted to share that
