I want to go with nitrous, is that price right?
nitrous install isnt hard.. quite simple actually.... people blow their motors and catch on fire because people abuse the **** out of it.... if used properly u will not have any problems. if u lived in NY i would install it for you for less then half the price and would only take 3-4hrs. i've done countless nitrous systems... not one problem. and also very clean install. you wouldnt be able to see it unlesss your REALLY look.
install it yourself. if you can install a stereo system in your car, this will be a breeze. go to the site and check out the installation manual.. so simple.. get a friend or 2 together and hook that ***** up in one afternoon, with the money saved, get more stufff for the car. or take your buddies out for dinner.
For my first install, went to a shop, SS Motorsports in Queens, NY.
The bottom line was, the shop owner wanted to prioritize his customers, and my install took second fiddle to full blown race motors he was building. So one of the mechanics there took the job on the side and wound up charging me next to nothing for the whole job since he is a friend, and I learned everything I needed to know for the next install in the process. The whole install took several hours, basic install, bottle opener, J&S Safeguard, Holley custom switches, etc. I then installed the gauges (nitrous and A/F) on my own. You can do it quickly, but taking your time makes for a professional, clean install.
It's pretty intuitive if you do lots of research prior to doing anything. I'm in a unique situation, so I would only go to a "professional" for stuff like tuning.
But I recommend a tuner at least inspect the system to check for any serious errors if you do it your self prior to spraying.

I don't think you can go wrong with either setup, lots of satisfied people have both.
