Default Another Noob in need of Help! NO2 PROBLEMS!!!

I've got a ZEX wet kit (bottle warmer) w/ a 75 shot set up. On the dyno my torque went up about 30 lbs but my hp dropped by 10 hp. I'm not getting nearly the performance that alot people have posted. I've got the NGK plugs, borla exhausts and headers, CAI, cat delete test pipes.

Thanks Tim

Either your jets are F'ed up or you don't have good pressure being fuel and or nitrous. The HP should never drop so something is definatly wrong. Hell you might even be running real rich or lean because of a Jet issue. I don't know much about the ZEX Kits though.

Couple of Basic questions:

How did you tap fuel?

What kind of bottle pressure did you have at the time of the dyno? I did notice you had a bottle warmer but I'd like to know anyway.

dyno w/o N2O was hp = 245 tq = 238? x 3 pulls
dyno w/ N2o was hp = 235 tq = 276 x 2 pulls
After reading the N2O excert I realize that my bottle set up is all wrong. I had it sideways vs front to back and the nozzle up instead of down and the temp around 900 with 75 shot spray.

The fuel line is tapped from inside the engine compartment.

Dyno w/o N2O hp = 245 tq = 240 x 3 pulls
Dyon w/ N2O hp = 236 tq = 276 x 2 pulls w/ 75 shot spray ( thats what the shop told me they set it up for) I'm not sure what the actual jet sizes should be? to know if there correct ... any suggestions would be helpful?
After reading the excerpt from this forum I did realize that my bottle is sitting sideways when it should be front to back and the actual nozzle is facing up when it should be down.

Thanks for your help!

Tim

you should know what jet sizes you have on. The chart for the jet sizes are on the back of the instructions for the zex kit.

So who installed the nitrous?

I was talking w/ some friends and they think its probably a drop in fuel line pressure.

You want to make sure the "aftermarket shop" is familiar with these types of installations, especially with a ZEX setup.

This has nothing to do with pressure drop, it's probably happening because your bottle valve is facing up.
Rotate the bottle so the valve is facing down. Check your jets, the nitrous jet should be about 46 and the fuel about 26.
