Am I missing anything??
been reading a lot on here about Nitrous setups and honestly its very impressive. I have an 06 350Z with these mods.
Injen sp1986 CAI
Stillen test pipes
Headers
Single exhaust
Kinetix SSV
UR pulleys
Apex'I SAFC-II
So here is what i should be getting next week. Am i missing anything??
NX 10Ib bottle, gonna spray 100 shot
UTEC
AEM wideband guage
NO2 pressure guage
Dynotune switches
Bottle heater
Also how does this work?? So you open the bottle, then you turn the map on your utec. You can have it setup so it sprays different amount in different gears right? And when the bottle heater works it gets the pressure higher and it needs to be close to 1000?
I am really excited for this and if you guys can help with some info I would really appreciate it.
thanks

I dunno about the different amounts in different gears, but i know you can lock it out of spraying in a gear...you should be spraying a 100 shot in all gears except maybe first anyways
between 900-1000 is where i wanted mine

You can't change the amounts per gear unless you're running a multiple stage nitrous kit.
But you can set it (UTEC) to engage the N2O through an RPM range and also which gear to start it at.
Some people prefer not to engage it until second gear.
The rpm range I like is 3500 - 6200. This way it doesn't jam a lot of torque on the motor at lower rpms (which can cause engine failure), and it shuts off before you reach the rev limiter.
If the nitrous is on and you over rev the motor, the computer restrics fuel to keep the rpms down, so you could blow the motor because you'll be putting too much nitrous into it. But thats only if you hit the rev limiter.
The UTEC is a good way to avoid this. If you don't get the UTEC, I highly recomend you get a Window Switch to control the RPM range. But without the UTEC to retard your timing, you'll need to keep it at a 75HP shot. I've heard of some people going 100HP shot on stock timing, but I personally wouldn't chance it.
I'm runing nitrous in my 2006 350Z and I love it.

Get with Jeremy (audiblemayhem) from www.performancefactory.com ... He is the king of nitrous and will point you in the right direction... He also get great deals... i got all my setup from him and have never had an issue
Love it... May be a bit much for everyday use but this car is my weekend warrior not my daily driver... With a 100 shot you will not feel that much of a loss from a 125 and is a bit safer for everyday use

I wasn't referring to stock block, I was referring to timing. If you go 100-shot or higher, you really should retard your timing.
I haven't ran my 350Z on the strip yet.
I have a 10-second 700HP 1968 Chevelle SS396 for that. I just wanted to make sure I don't pull along side a Dodge Neon and loose a race off the line to one. I don't care much for Neons.

You really should read the sticky post at the top of this Nitrous forum.
"Nitrous Basics Thread, read here if you want nitrous for the first time"
by Audible Mayhem
It has a lot of info that will help you if you decide to go N2O.
Nitrous is a good way to go if you want massive power only when desired.
If you want power all the time, you may want to think about Forced Induction.
N2O is less expensive, and some think that if done correctly, your motor will live longer then FI because you only put strain on it sometimes. But I don't think there is real proof of that. FI only builds boost under throttle, so if you don't race it all the time, it lives just as long.
It all comes down to preference and how fat your wallet is.
