Default Newwwwwwwwwwwwwbie!

Hi everyone. So here is the deal....i have given up on Turbo. I konw i will be getting eighter a new car in 2-3 years. I currently drive from Irvine to Fullerton everyday so i will rack up miles on my Z. My mods are JWT intake, APS test-pipes, and HKS true dual. How much power could i get with a tune + 100 shot? maybe 150? Also how much would this run me? Thanks for your info

For about $1800 you can run 150 shot all day long on a stock block. Oops, you'll need to get it tuned so add another say $500. When you're ready to get rid of the car, a couple hours of removing stuff, buy a Z-tube and you're all done.

He asked how much WHP.
Even if his motor was around 300hp at the flywheel and he added the 150 shot, would his WHP exceed 400?
It may be close to 400whp + or - a few, but I don't think he'll hit the 450whp unless his motor is already around 350hp at the FW.
IMO

^^^ +1

I can't see or heard of a stock Z hitting the 450whp range on a stock block (and what seems to be stock internals according to the price quoted). If it has happened, please share the vid and dyno graph.

He said he had given up on turbos, so the numbers were based on a NA motor with the mods he has listed.
IMO 400whp would be a high estimate of what he could make with a 150hp shot and a real good tune with his mods.

Whoa Whoa whoa......... I meant 400WHP and 450TQ. My Bad. But like coach has and I know of a few more that it's possible to go more. In the hands of a good tuner, you'd be surprised what the VQ can take. Who's out in cali running a stock block with twins on it? It's his daily driver too. I believe he's a sponsor here too.

150 shot is overkill for a daily driver. I'm running a 100 shot and when it kicks in at 4000 RPM in 2nd gear the tires break loose and the power is wasted. Not to say that it isn't a kick in the a$$ and more fun than should be legal (or illegal in CA) but a 100 shot and a tune will get you about 34 RWHP and 360 torque.
I've had bad luck with dynotune solenoids but their TPS/window switch has been very relialable.
