Dynotune a/f shut down + rpm/ window switch?
Ok can some one help me out i read some other threads and i am a little confused. These are the two products i am looking at for saftey.

The lean shut down switch says that it has a built in WOT switch so would buying the 2 stage rpm/window switch be a waste. Should i just get a basic window switch like msd and then use the WOT from the lean shut down? But then i would lose the gear lock out feature?

I think the 2 stage rpm/window switch, you can specify where in the rpms it sprays. So you have the safety of spraying in certain rpms and not just wot. I was thinking of getting the lean shutdown switch also, I have the window switch, just for lean conditions and safety. I would like to know what else everyone elsle thinks also.

Just a heads up. I'm working on looking stuff up, but the HR's for sure have widebands, and what I've read is that the late 03's (newer ECU version) have wideband pre-cat sensors as well. Meaning that they are 0-5V and if I'm reading correctly, will not work with the dyno-tune lean shutoff.
I've been trying to figure out how to easily program a display because its a non-linear correlation of voltage to AFR...need to get a logarithm for it and maybe just a simple electronic dial gauge with a "new face" installed in it will work.

I installed both a zex and dynotune box. The Zex box was brand new and did not work ever. Ordered the MSD digital and used the EXACT same wiring and it worked fine. Zex FTL = Dynotune FTL
Installed the dynotune window box for another member. It worked/test fired fine for about a week. The guy went to test out the nitrous on the interstate..........nothing. It flashed 111. Relays and solenoids were fine, 12v battery would trip everything as needed. The box just crapped itself. If it cant sink or power a relay then its a pos.
2 bad experiences for what is an identical box and 1 good experience with the other make. I recommend MSD because it worked for me. Its a bit larger, more rugged, yet lighter.
I like dynotunes other products, never had issues with their bottle heater pressure switch.

the dynotune window/tps switch has a tricky hook-up and the directions suck. Mine worked perfect and I set it on the fly. Made 366/440 on 150 shot. You must be doing something wrong. Love mine. 1st gear lock out is the sh*t too.

Actually, I recall replacing my dynotune TPS/window switch. It just didn't work, so I had to send it back for a replacement (free replacement and 2 day shipping, though). I also heard good things about MSD, but keep in mind that until you thoroughly search about a product, you won't get both the positive and negative feedbacks (just glancing over or just reading a few things about it will only result in mainly good or mainly bad feedback).
Right now, mine's working fine. However, the box shows 000 (isn't it supposed to be 001 or is that only when you're spraying?). With the second one, everything seems to be perfect, so no complaints.

degree in electronics from the military here....that box acts weird on certain connections to the ignition (for rpm activation - ecu vs under the hood)...anyhow...doesn't matter...mine works fine and has been for 2+ years. MSD does the job but doesn't have the features this one does (gear lock out and 2 channel/stage rpm activation). I set mine and tucked in the passenger side behind the carpet and forgot about it. MSD is a proven name, so nothing wrong with going with them.

These will work with any car. It's just reading the AFR and when it goes past the preset ratio, it deactivates the nitrous.

Well, the 06 02 sensors are suppose to be widebands right? I have read that they only put out 0-2v, while the pre 04.5 are narrow bands that put out 0-1v. The Af lean switch reads either narrowband - 0-1v or wideband 0-5v, where would the 04.5 and up that have widebands that only put out 0-2v come to play? Thats really my question. I would think that the switch would work fine on the 03-04.5, but not sure about the years after.
