Default Fuel Pump

Those of you guys running nitrous, are you running an upgraded fuel pump or just the stock one?

went as high as a 125 shot without any fuel pump upgrades. 4 years with nitrous on my z and the fuel pump is fine.

91 octane at all times even on race days.

no ecu work no controllers, none of that stuff. you really dont need that stuff unless your planning on having an 11 second car just by using nitrous and 150+shot to where you have to slowly ramp up the shot size depending on what gear/rpm your at. the z can handle a 100 shot all day no problem without have to spend more money on controllers and tuners, bla bla bla. the car is a monster with a 125 shot, but i felt it was too much power too fast and that eventually i would be asking for trouble if i didnt beef up the block or invest in tuners.

just know your limits and you'll be fine.

but do get a heater, purge and gauges to monitor your bottle pressure a/f and fuel pressure.

Im running the upgraded (Walbro 255) fuel pump but I've been told I didn't need it. I don't know about Detroit area but CA 91 octane is real **** gas. I'm running a 125 shot, dual stage progressive set-up with an Uprev tune and a plenum spacer.

you do not need a larger fuel pump.wast of money unless you plan on going FI in the future. They are also alot louder than the stock fuel pump. And run 93 octane all the time if you can get it in your area.
