Default Jet Zizes.... Question

I bought a used NX kit a while back it has a n2o 57 and a 35 fuel jet in it now. I looked on the NX site and didn’t see it listed. Will someone please tell me what size shot this would be. I plan on running a 100 shot. The seller didn’t say what he was using.

Thanks Hershell

That's about a 150 shot for our cars with a little bigger fuel shot for safety.

If you want to do a 100 shot, I'd suggest somewhere around 47 nitrous and 26 fuel (the numbers may vary slightly, but you get the general idea).

If I were you, I'd order multiple jet sizes so you can experiment on what works best for your car for the power level you're seeking.

Why did you choose the Nitto DR's over others? What are you mounting the tires on (wheel specs)? What size are the tires? What's your N/A ET and trap look like (timeslips would be nice - here or in the drag forum)?

I hope you're running around mid-13s to high-13s with those mods on street tires. If you're not getting down to 13.7 or better with your mods on street tires (dependent on DA), then I suggest you practice until you can do so. After you get to where you're comfortable and consistent on street tires, then move up to slicks/DRs. After you're consistent with DRs in low-13s to mid-13s, then start spraying to achieve 12s.

Volk GT-7 20x10.5 +24 offset on the rear. Nitto is the only 20" DR.
I have never been to the track. The only track near me is 1/8 mile. This weekend may be the first.

I know 20" are not ideal for drag racing , Im just wanting a fun car to drive. Maybe **** of some mustangs.

Thanks for the help.

My advice:
You should run on street tires first and get a feel for it. After you're comfortable, move onto DRs, and then nitrous. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time, nitrous, and DRs trying to figure out how everything is working out (so many different factors all at the same time - too much for a novice). Step by step is the key. Don't just jump into the deep end without knowing the basic ins and outs of drag racing.

Also, why not find a set of wheels that are more suitable for drag racing and put a more proper sized DRs on them?

BTW, go take a look around the drag racing forum and read. They have lots of good advice and bad advice there. After a few visits to the track, you'll figure out which ones to listen to and why. And always post up your results. Lastly, have fun.

Hershell do not run at cottonwood on street tires.......the car gets way too loose as it is, and the track doesn't hook for crap half the time. No way in hell you need to run on the spray without nitrous either.

Let me know if you are going and when, when you launch it would probably be a good idea to start around 2500 on the launch and slowly raise the launch rpm til it doesn't bog down....a LITTLE tire spin will still yield a good mph, and better et. than completely bogging it.

I put a 50 shot in Friday and couldn't feel it. There was twice I could tell a little, but it wasn't worth it. I also had my tires installed Friday that helped out a lot. I could tell a big difference.

I called NX today the 100 shot jets are 52N-30F.... I ordered a few different sizes to be safe. I also ordered a few for a 75 shot, I thought I would work my way up.

I called Forged and asked asked about doing a tune. Just to make sure everything was good. They said not to run a 100 shot without a UTEC.

So then I called Z1 and they acted like it was no big deal and I was crazy for wanting it tuned with a 100 Shot.

I just want to have it Dynoed and make sure the AF ratio and all that stuff is right. I don't want to screw something up.

FP is a bit conservative with nitrous as opposed to other shops. A lot of people run 100 shot without a problem (or a tune for that matter), so theoretically, you should be ok. However, 100 shot is borderline, so I'd say a tune is highly recommended. If you're not getting a tune just yet, I'd go with a slightly higher fuel jet or a slightly lower nitrous jet for precaution.

I was thinking the same way. There isn't a shop close to me that I trust. FP and Z1 are 4 hours and PF is 6 hr away. I'll probabley stick with a 75 utill I can get a tune.
