Default Install Question

How many of you have installed your own kits. I have an NX kit that just wont sell on the boards so I am interested in setting up a 55 shot for my 07 Z. I am trying to save the 700 ish dollars it would cost to install something I wont use except at the strip. Let me know if its common place to install your own kit or if its frowned upon. If you could link me to a place with very straight forward directions and pics it would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I instaled my own. It wasn't that hard, just took a little time. What all do you have with your kit? Heater, Bottle Opener, Purge, etc? What kind of TPS are you using? What kind of switch will you be using?

I was in the same boat as you. I wasn't going to pay someone $700 to install a few line and wires for me. Mine is in, but I have a few things I need to clean up. Is you car a daily driver?

I have complete NX kit, Gen X kit, ect, I also have the dynotune n20 gauge and switch pod. The only hang up is that I have an 07 so I will have to run a splitter of some sort to make it go to both intakes. And yes it is daily driven but I only plan on using the shot at the strip.

What kind if TPS are you going to use? Are you going to use a manual or electronic? I was asking about the daily driver because of down time.

I'm working on a DIY, but its going slow because I have had to work a lot of OT this month. I haven't had time to take pics. The Army DoD blocks us from to many sites for me to do it at work.

What kind of fuel tap do you have?

I am putting this on an 07 but the NX kit I have only comes with hardware for 1 intake. Anyone know what parts I will need to duplicate? Thanks in advance.

Basically, what you need to do is get 2 splitters (or 2 T fittings). Get a short nitrous line to come from the nitrous solenoid. Connect a T fitting (at the middle, not at either ends) to that short nitrous line coming from the nitrous solenoid. Then connect 2 nitrous lines (1 for each end of the T fitting) and connect these nitrous lines to its corresponding fogger on each intake tube. Remember that each fogger should use the same jet size. Repeat for the fuel side.

Basically, you need a fuel & nitrous line that is the same size as the one you current have (which is for single fogger), a shorter fuel & nitrous line, and 2 T fittings.
