Default plugs or no plugs???

i just installed my zex kit about a week ago and right now i'm only on a 55 shot because i dont have a utec or colder plugs. i want to go to a 75 shot but havnt yet because altho from what i understand i dont need utec for that, but according to the instructions from zex colder plugs are needed. so my question is....

to run a 75 shot on the z are colder plugs a must? if not i'm anxious to run into the garage and swap out my jets for the 75 shot. the 55 is fun but 75 is what i reallly want

thanks for your help

there are a lot of people running a 75 with reg plugs specially 07s cause i dont think they make one step colder plugs yet for them. if zex recomends using them i would listen to the people selling you the kit but dont buy zex plugs from what i hear. just my opinion. i use one step colder on my 75 shot but just did it or safety and i want to go with a bigger shot in the future.

if you use reg plugs i would check them on a regular basis when spraying just to get a feel for how they are holding up. it is a good idea to check the plugs one step colder or not when you spray a lot. it gives you a good idea of whats going on in the combustion chamber.

go with iridium 1 or 2 step colder plugs. platinum and nitrous dont play that well together. I use NGK. you can run a 75 shot without the utec....so once you get plugs, throw in the 75 shot jets.

You should put in colder plugs.
With the 75 shot, 1-step colder will do.

I'm running the standard copper core NGK V-Groove plugs because I was told by professional tuners to use them over the other metals with Nitrous.
They hold up better then the iridium or platinum because they are more durable against chemical wear.

But the Iridiums are the only way NGK Makes a 2-step colder plug for our Z's, which is what you would need for the higher HP-shots or Turbo's.
The Iridiums work well, they just don't last as long as the V-Groove, and they cost more then the V-Groove.

If you need them, I have the NGK and sell them NIB:
1-step colder standard V-Groove NGK LFR6A-11 (3672)
Cost including USPS shipping to all 50 states is $37.00

2-Step Colder Iridiums - LFR7AIX (2309)
Cost including USPS shipping to all 50 states is $47.00
