shooting a HR
These are the plugs... no updates as of yet.. like i said i'm going to be tossing the bottles on sometime this winter... def before the spring when the track opens. GOD i'm so excited.
Are you thinking of running a return line and new regulator for the fuel system (moving the regulator from the tank to the rail)?
I was looking at a nitrous setup long ago (before I had bills
) and that was my biggest concern. I wanted to have room for swapping jets when I knew I would, and that meant multiple maps (now available from uprev, just have a nitrous map where you don't get timing worth a darn), and then just run colder plugs.
That works out to:
Nitrous setup with window switch and WOT controller.
Plugs
Tuning
Fuel system
At nearly $2800 for everything I wanted (new) just under $2000 if I sourced a lot of used stuff, I had trouble pulling the trigger.

Unless you're running a gigantic shot (which you shouldn't anyway using wet systems), you don't need to mess with fuel system at all.
I got my complete kit with all the accessories brand new for just under $1100.

If you are running only a 75-100 shot, I thought you don't have to change the plugs or put a tune. I swear I heard that somewhere here. But I plan on buying the Zex kit hopefully by the end of '09. How much power can a stock HR clutch handle. Hopefully by the time I get mine, there should be so much info for the HR.
Thanks Guys

The stock Denso plugs have a heat range equal to an NGK 7, which will be fine for a 75 shot, stock timing is still good too.
For a 100 shot, you should go one more step colder, which Denso offers. Timing SHOULD be retarded 3-4 degrees under stock. You should ramp the timing down between the 2500-3000 range and up, as you shouldn't be activating the nitrous under 3000 RPM anyway.
I pushed the install back to tomorrow, I will have pics once I get underway

i've got nitrous installed on my hr for almost a year now with no tune. Running a 100 shot but i've only used about 4 bottles and the car is still running good. I stop using it because i know the stock clutch cant handle that type of power and will die on me real fast if i keep on spraying. But otherwise the motor is still running strong and have no problems so far knock on wood. I can tell you with nitrous the car pull hard! I even pulled on the new c6, the engine pull so smoothly to 130 i dont even feel the drag. Right now im thinking of removing the nitrous and go back to stock for now until I can save up some money for some real power. Just waiting to see how the motor will hold up with some crazy power.
