Finished nitrous install on my 07' Nismo Z
I'm in process of installing my kit on my HR (had to wait for a part to come in from Zex that they forgot to pack in the kit...the quick connect and rubber hose) will continue the install tomorrow took a comp day from work. Anyways , nitrous just makes your fuel burn faster so your car will use more fuel when you use it . If you try to use nitrous below 2500 rpm's(according to the Zex instructions) you will cause engine damage hence why you get a window switch. You try to use over a 100 shot without a proper ecu tune for nitrous use , you will cause engine damage. You run any ecu tune not designed for nitrous and you will cause engine damage. Zex instructions says with over a 100 shot , you should retard timing by atleast 4 degrees hence the nitrous tune. If you run anything less than 92octane you can cause engine damage. Obviously if you think your car is a 69 mustang and try to run 250 shot on your stock VQ you will cause engine damage lol.
I'm just sticking to a 75shot just to stay on safe side of things. But will get a 100shot tune done and saved on my Accessport for rare moments. After this install , looks will come next and then a little later the nitrous kit will come out and the Twins will go in =)
