Go to www.zex.com and search nissan 350z and it will show you what you need for a kit. Its a good kit and there are plenty of threads in this section if you search

Ive been searcing and it looks like ill need a bottle warmer and a pressure gauge. Possibly a electric bottle opener.

Whats the advantages of having a electric bottle opener, isnt it safe just the leave the bottle open when your just driving around?

easier to keep the temp of the bottle optimum and then your lines wont be full of nos when the bottle is open...u will have to clear them....PURGE!

Even though the nitrous lines are teflon with a stainless steel overbraid they weep out the high pressure nitrous a a very slow rate. Also the nitrous solenoid valves aren't built to hold high pressure for an extended period of time.

This is turing out to be quite the project. The Zex kit just gives u the basics for 549$.

Is a RPM window switch really needed? Cant u just let off the gas a little to stop the nitrous?

Yes, you can, BUT, sometimes when you're on the juice adrenaline is high, things are happening very quickly, all you concentration is on the road... and that's when a window switch can save your motor!

Great point, so add window switch to my cart, ive been looking at the MSD one.

So running a 55 Shot or a 75 shot I wont need to retard my timing at all even with a Osiris flash?

If I were you, I would go with Dynotune. Their website is Dynotunenitrous.com and they have the best quality products/ best prices. I paid 500 shipped for a full kit, heater, nitrous psi gauge. I also have a kit for sale, pm me if your interested.

^ I use several dynotune parts in my set-up too.
^^ I go to a local tuner in So. Cal. to get my Osiris tuned for Nitrous. I would even if I was only running a 50 shot. It's not that expensive...

It's nice to see so many people help the guy out although they can be easily answered with a search (it's evident that you didn't either search or didn't do a good job of doing it from the looks of your questions).

If you want to just spray, all you really need is the kit specifically designed for your vehicle. Anything else you add will just be an amenity, but those added luxury does make the experience much more pleasurable in many cases (in various ways).

Rather than taking the easy way out and asking questions, it would really behoove you to search within and outside of the forums. It'll give you a much broader knowledge with regards to nitrous and it'll also be quicker. Nitrous isn't too hard to understand. You'll love it though, if you do decide to go ahead with it. I promise you that.

Ive pretty much figured everything out from reading on here. There was just alot of info I needed. There alot if nitrous parts that I needed a understanding of.

I think im going to go with the dynotune kit for 399 on there site. Then get the MSD window switch. I like this kit better because it comes with a 35 Jet and I want to start really small.

People have been telling me everywhere that Nitrous wheres out your engine real fast, is this true? How could it " wear out your engine"? From the increased stress?? ALso how long does the bottle that these kits last? How many runs thru all the gears with say a 55 shot can u get? A co-worker told me " 10 shots and bottles empty".

In my 98 maxima I installed the dynotune kit at 150,000 miles. I ran through 20+ full bottles at a 75 shot and NEVER had a problem. The VQ30 is just as strong as the VQ35 (except rod bolts) so just get 2 step colder plugs and you will be ok. I would recommend you buy a heater as well. They will cut you a deal if you buy together. If the bottle is not heated to 1100 - 1200 psi, your nitrous/fuel mixture will be off. In other words, you will run EXTREMELY rich. The dynotune heater switch automatically turns on or off depending on your nitrous psi; whereas, the zex and nos heaters etc. switch on and of from outside bottle temp. Make sure you get a blow down and nitrous psi gauge since the trunk is not closed off from the cabin. The psi gauge will mount onto the bottle and its like $25. I hope this helps!

Yeah, its nice to see a thread of people actually helping someone out, around here.

Don't get me wrong, I think doing ones own research is always worth it, however I think many of the Premier Members and others whom get the boolean search don't realize how poor the search is without it. When trying to search for anything thats semi-generic, you get the same threads over, and over, and over. Sure, you can get some good results, but *shrug*, something to think about.

@twitch579:

Trust me, it ALWAYS pays to go as SAFE as possible with any sort of mod. Take your time, do things the right way, the first time.

I have the Z specific Zex kit, with the window switch and other accessories. The install was very straight forward, and I have yet to have a problem with the kit. Quality has been excellent as well.

I haven't used any of the Dynotune products though, but from what I have heard they are good and well worth the money, I just bought all the matching Zex accessories.

Anyways, spray is a great way to go.

My opinion is stay away from Zex. Had it and sold it. I dont think tapping into ur TPS wire is that smart. The kit made my throttlebody lock up i guess and i took all nitrous off the car and seen if i could get it covered under warranty. Well i slipped the guy 100$ and got a free throttle body but he could see where there has been nitrous.

My rec is

Nitrous Express EFI kit
remote bottle opener
whatever gauges u wont
def wouldnt rec anything above 100 shot
Utec
def get a tune just to be a little safer
window switch
some other stuff but i 4get right now
