Default dyno numbers and a couple ??'s

I'm looking for some responses from people who have had their z's dyno'd with nitrous...
I had mine dyno'd yesterday on nitrous and it seems like my numbers are a little on the low side as far as horsepower goes...
the numbers go
run #1 baseline no nitrous 245.00whp 225.13 lb ft
run #2 75 shot 282.70whp 328.12 lb ft
run #3 100 shot 295.17 380.81 lb ft
for those that have been on a dyno does that sound right?
my car has test pipes plenumn spacer and a drop in filter.

I'm running a 2006 with an automatic trannsmision.

My baseline was 213whp with only a short-ram intake.
With a ZEX wet 75hp shot (21-fuel / 40-N2O), and a Utec with a tune, I pulled 289whp.

It all depends on the size of jets you're using. Some vendors measure the HP at engine, so if yours are figured at the engine, then you'll loose a good percentage to the wheels.

Your horsepower numbers are off. What kind dyno was this? What were the jet sizes for each "shot?"

Those are some really low baselines, you guys should be reading between 250-260 at the wheels.

Have you done a proper tune? The second post sounds about right w/a Turbo XS Utec on a 75 shot tuned. It makes a huge difference when you tune your car based off how much you spray to compliment the rest of your aftermarket mods. With the Utec you can have multiple maps to choose from depending on how you drive daily, on the track, or if you have the urge to spray on a clear freeway.

I have no tuning on my car which I'm aware is the biggest and most dangerous downfall... I was a little concerned with my baseline numbers too though...
as far as jets for the 75 shot I used a 40 nitrous jet and a 26 fuel jet
for the 100 shot I used a 46 nitrous jet and a 30 fuel jet... I used the graph on the instructions from my kit...
It was kinda disheartening I watched an 03 dyno earlier in the day with the exact same mods as me except nitrous and he actually put down 9 more whp than me and about 15lb ft...

Dude it depends on what dyno was used..

I would say average for DE's on a dynojet is about 245whp. So the OP is spot on..

Post the dyno charts if possible, you gained 155tq from a 100 shot - nice.

If you ever need any help, we are not too far away (~1hour)

It's so weird seeing sponsors in the nitrous forum (other than PF every once in a while). You guys should play with nitrous more and post up.

We play with nitrous a lot... our drag Z runs it, my street Z is getting it now, my turbo lexus has it etc. Most of our applications are in conjunction with boost though, as most of our customers want full-time power.

Memphis 350Z, nice gains, though that dyno chart is annoying to read. Could they not overlay the two, and use reasonable scales? Also it states 'flywheel horsepower/torque', though those numbers look closer to regular chassis dyno whp numbers.

Yes, with a 150shot make sure you are pulling appropriate timing. This is best dialed in on the dyno of course. Make sure to post up your results

The one that ran the 8 sec 1/4 mile is launching with nitrous?

You guys definitely need to be active in the nitrous forum.

A dyno has nothing to do with low numbers with a before and after, the dyno is a measuring device and the gains should be relative regardless of dyno.

bottle pressure is KEY, needs to be spot on to 950 PSI for optimal performance.

Case in point:

My engine made 671 horsepower at 950 PSI and 702 HP at 1050 PSI, 100 PSI of bottle pressure made a 30 horsepower difference
