Got it tuned today;

Made 360whp / 351torque on a mustang dyno with Dynotune's 100 shot (Equivalent to Nitrous Express's 75 shot). Sprayed at 4k RPM & cut off at 7k. Bottle was heated and pressure was increased to 1100, however My bottle was poorly filled, there was much more compressed air over nitrous... (I was purging right before the dyno run and the purge barely shot any nitrous out, it was mostly air even when the bottle was at 1100. Never going to fill my bottle there again..) On the dyno, we did a 4th gear pull and as soon as the nitrous started to engage you could literally see bottle pressure drop instantly due to poor filling. By the end of just that 4th gear run, bottle pressure was down to 850.

Anyways, I changed the jets out to Dynotune's 125 shot (38N/22F) but didnt get to get a good dyno run because of low bottle pressure. I'll be sure to go back and get a dyno run with a 125 shot.

As for the MAP, it's running on the stock factory MAP with 2 degree's of timing pulled from 3500 - 7500rpm. The Air/Fuel ratio for the stock map is fine BTW. Suprisingly, it's running rich.

Oh and there is a very slight nitrous leak with one of the solenoid's. Almost forgot to mention that.

Here are some pics along with a videoclip of a short 4th gear pull.

How are you pulling timing from 3.5-7.5k rpm? Rather, what are you using to retarding your timing at that specific range only?

BTW, not a bad job on the install. I would've done it (and have done it) differently, but it works. I like your wideband gauge.

Thanks 350 .

I have an e-manage ultimate piggyback on the car, it can pull timing out of the map from whatever RPM range you choose.

That air/fuel guage doesn't even work. I thought it could be wired up with the factory O2 sensor but it's not working. I'm just gonna trash it and get a real wideband reading... Either AEM or Autometer.

I was thinking of giving UpRev a call and see what they can do for a nitrous tune.

This is the one time I told him I didn't need the dyno sheet cause I was planning on going back for the 125 shot dyno, but I'll be sure to post the sheet once I go back.

However, it won't be for a few weeks because I'm currently saving up for wideband.

Your numbers seem a little off JZK. Didnt you claim over 300 at the tires N/A? And a 75whp shot which is what you basically dynoed with should give ya a bit more IMO

Yea I put down 306 on that same dyno, but you also have to remember that it's a completely different MAP. So it's 306 - the n/a tune + the 75 shot.

Also, timing was taken out & 2 step colder plugs are in now, so you also have to subtract some power from those factors as well. I'd rather run a safe setup with moderate power vs. a more risky setup with more power.

Honestly to tell you the truth, I haven't even sprayed since the two times from when I first got it in and from when I was at the dyno. I'm waiting on my wideband so I can have an eye on my air/fuel at all times..

Actually, nitrous makes more power with timing retarded than not or advanced.

thats definitely something i didnt know!

I know that colder plugs wont make you lose any power though (JZK).

The timing retard will subtract some power when not spraying but who the hell cares how much ya got without the spray when you have the switch sittin right in front of you!

That's definately something I didn't know.. But what I'm trying to say is that without my N/A tune, I should be making I'd say around 285whp with my bolt on's? So it'd be 285 + the 75whp from the nitrous... So 360 sounds about right to me.

I dont get it.

You sig says you made 311whp NA and now 360 on a 100 shot? Doesnt add up.

I made 311whp with the N/A tune! That tune was leaned out to make power.

Currently I'm on my nitrous tune, this tune runs richer vs the N/A tune; which is why N/A tune (Lean tune) makes more power vs. the Nitrous tune (Rich tune). Thus, I'm probally making around 280-290ish with my Nitrous tune.

Now if you add a 75whp shot to the nitrous tune, it add's up to 360ish which sounds right. It's not like your directly adding 75whp to 311whp because that's not the tune I'm currently on. Now, if I were to spray on my N/A tune (Lean tune) then it would be higher, but that's not a risk I'm willing to take

Hmm, that purge set up and the solenoid location looks awfully familiar..
