Default uprev tune on nitrous?

I am about done getting my zex kit installed and i am running a 100 shot. Everyone says not only is it safer but you tend to get alittle more power out of the kit with a tune for it. So i was looking at getting an uprev dyno tune. But here is my debate, I dont have cruise control on my car so i will have to leave the nitrous tune in all the time. How bad will this hurt my na power and gas milage if at all.

One other thing. I have a cobb accessport (stage2 map loaded) on the care now and i wonder if it would be safe to run the shot on that untill i get the tune. I dont know how much timing it puts in the car. And I guess im getting rid of the accessport if anybody needs one.

i would think the tune on your cobb would be ok BUT if it advances your timing at all i would not spray with that map loaded. I spray a hundred shot on a factory ecu and its fine and stays within 11.0-11.7 air/fuel while spraying.

I have a Nitrous Map from Uprev for my 100 shot. The shot made the car run to lean and +5 fuel had to be added and also 3-4 degrees timing was pulled to be safe. They will probably only program in these settings while you in your N20 window, mine is from 3500-6000rpm, before or after that the car is running on my 93 performance map.

So if u can just drive out of the nitrous window then you wont be pouring in loads of fuel for nos thats not being sprayed>>??? Does that make sense?

My car probably runs to lean from all the boltons that I have also, before the tune without nos my car ran very very lean.

If you have a tune, it almost always means that your timing was advanced to extract a bit more power from the engine. Nitrous and advanced timing is very bad in conjunction. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you do not run nitrous on a N/A map; you should always have a separate map with retarded timing in the appropriate RPM range to maximize your gain from nitrous.

thanks for all the input guys. And being that I don't have cruise control that tune that is only in the nitrous window is an awsome idea. I am gonna get my tune exactly like that.

what kinds numbers did you guys put down on the dyno? I just kinds want a ball park estimate.

One other thing is do you think I should run a 100 or 75 shot?
The car just turned over 100,000 miles.

Why do everybody just jump straight into 75, 100, or even retardedly into 125 shot? How about you guys be smart and start with a 35 shot? I started out with a 35 shot, moved to 50, and now I'm at 75.

My recommendation: start with 35, especially since you have such high mileage. You should always see how the car responds to the sudden increase in torque. You should bump up to a higher shot if and only if the engine checks out fine, and you are competent/comfortable enough with the shot.

Lol. I agree everyone goes big. I suggest 50shot just to see how it runs. People tend to forget how much tq nitrous give you.
