Default Searching for nitrous videos

I've been looking through youtube and streetfire.net for some videos without any luck.

Video: I'm looking for a Z on nitrous, (any shot), where I can see the speedo climb. I'm trying to get an idea on how fast acceleration can be while on spray.

Does anyone have a video showing that? Or point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YLmnLBNlbo ---with N20 Best run was 364/436.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rf_Qb6LijM ------Video with No nitrous months before same dyno same gear. It takes twice as long to get thru 4th gear. Best run that day was 282/262 uncorrected.

Thats a 4th gear pull from 3k-6500k. You can sorta see how fast it goes thru that gear. It was very quick.

thanks twich I'll check 'em out

Edit: I saw the videos, but its not what I'm looking for. I found a bunch of videos on the dyno, but what I'm looking for are nitrous videos where I can watch the speedometer/tach climb when the nitrous hits.

If you've ever seen Alberto's video (where he goes up to 170mph), that's what I'm looking for, but for nitrous.

He's getting ideas for his new setup. I think he wants to do better than a 12.330@111.69mph

It shouldn't be too hard to beat the 12.3. I'm in TX and it's pretty much summer now. You guys just wait until it cools down, sort of, here.

BTW, where are your timeslips?

That's a good question. I really need to get to the track before it gets hot here.

I don't understand why the dyno videos don't work. The dyno videos are done in a single gear (4th or 5th) and between set RPMs. Listen to the engine speed increasing. That's how fast it climbs. There's your answer.

You can't be serious about nitrous or turbo/supercharger if you're comparing contemplating which to go with. They're completely different from each other and the prices have great differences.

Rather than trying to see which one's faster, why don't you do some research and see what the pros and cons are so you can intelligently decide which one is right for you?

Man you guys are way too serious. I've done plently of research, the videos are more or less for fun, just to see what happens to the speedo. If you got the videos post 'em, if not let it go. There's a bunch of info on these boards about nitrous, but no videos, hence my request.

FUN! Just for FUN!

U dont need to see the Speedo, just listen to my car in the same gear on the same dyno, one video without the n20, then one video with it. Same gear 4th. Its like totally slower revving to redline.

I've thought about recording myself at the drag strip inside my car. If and when I ever do that, I'll be sure to post it up.

I was just saying that it's useless since the dyno vids do exactly the same thing. I guess some people are strictly visual, though.

I think people like to see (real world) speedo because the car is moving and they can relate to that over a dyno that they have never seen!

Thanks for the videos and replies. Yeah they are kind of hard to find, like I said I thought it would be fun to watch. I've always watched the turbo videos where the speedo climbs like crazy, its pretty entertaining to watch, but like I said nitrous videos are harder.

Dyno videos with the bottle are cool too, and I've seen a bunch of them, but other than hearing the engine roar I don't really "get it". Part of that has to do with me never being on a dyno, or being anywhere near a dyno for that matter.

it's hard to find many people running nitrous, weather it be a G35 or Z. Just not the same following as the SC / Turbos. I think i have read every thread possiable on like 5 different VQ sites. I still don't feel like I have enough info. Not enough dyno numbers, track or street race vids, and just actual discussion on the topic.

I only see one page of topics in here, is that correct? Is there something I can do to view stuff older than that? Is there stuff older than that?
