Default Does One Step Colder plugs affect NA performance?

Thinking the time to replace plugs is near and I thought it would be a good opportunity to switch to recommended plugs for my ZEX kit.

I would like to know if one step colder plugs reduces HP when not on the bottle or just simply do they harm the engine when not on the bottle ? My car is an 07 not Turbocharged or Supercharged Much thanks

One step colder will not hurt your engine when you are off the bottle. You will lose a small amount of HP but it pays off when you use your nitrous. Happy Tuning! How much of a shot are you pushing?

right now Im just running a 75shot which I've honestly only used once after I finished installing it for testing. I've never had any real need to use it so far since I mainly use my car for daily driving and weekend joy riding but I'm thinking about going up to a 100 with a tune and some race gas for some drag *** whooping. Being a nice guy on the road around town has got some people that know nothing about my car thinking my car is all show.

Will I honestly need bigger injectors for a hundred shot? I have an HR , I'm thinking with a 100shot + q16 + tune + my other exhaust mods (ypipe back 2.5 inch exhaust and race pipes) should yield very close to 400whp . I 've seen on here people with stock HR motors making well over 400whp with turbo setups so I figure my engine will be able to handle it.

You dont need race gas for a 100 shot. 1 step colder plugs and a basic tune will be fine. I run a 14x shot on a stock tune, w/ plugs, just pig rich.

One step colder plugs will not affect performance that you will feel. I dynoed my car stock then with injen intakes. Lost like 2rwhp, but different day was it the intakes the plugs idk or do I care. As for a 100shot you don’t need race gas, a tune would be just fine. Be careful when you start comparing turbos and superchargers to nitrous, not really apples to apples.

Cold plugs will not hurt N/A performance in any way you'll be able to detect. It's better to play it safe with nitrous and lose 1 or 2 horses rather than risking it trying to save yourself from "losing" power.

So, you run a hundred forty shot pig rich? That doesn't sound smart in any way whatsoever. It's better to be in the proper AFR range with maybe a smaller shot than run that rich to avoid detonation, which means you're now risking the mixture pooling causing backfires. Not only that, you lose power when you run that rich - at least, you don't gain as much.

What jets did you use for your "100 shot" in your sig and what do you use for the 14X shot now?
