It was always an option, cause it's so much cheaper than SC/TT, but I keep thinking of what would happen if I got pulled over!!!

Its cheaper initially, but everyone I have known to use N20 always tells me they wished they would haver saved for FI.

Go look up the price of refilling a 10lb bottle very week, it adds up quickly.

Put the bottle/mount inside a gym bag, nobody would know...

*Sigh* Nitrous is pretty much just around the corner, but FI is like..next YEAR lol..&%$#

i run it in my street car and have no problems with cops .... its perfectly legal to have in your car it just illegal to use on the street
I prefer to have nitrous over a turbo or super charger because you can use it when you want and not always be in boost ..... but Alberto is right in the very long run it does add up..... and it it human nature to always want more (power) that's why people go turbo or supercharger after a while ....... id say if you want to use ut go for it its safe and sure gives you a kick in the butt

I'm gonna have to agree with alberto and ironx above.

BTW, ALL of us have street cars, so technically, all of us run nitrous on our street cars. Also, you could've gotten the answer to this thread by just clicking on any random thread in the nitrous forum to see which of our members had nitrous.

I don't spray much on the street. Maybe 2-3 times a month. Then again, I usually only drive on "Fairlady Fridays".

More expensive in the long run yes, but if you're running a turbo, it's probably costing you more in fuel so it can (almost) balance out?

I too wish I saved for FI.

However, something to keep in mind is that there is a lot of shared costs, as well.

For example, you need a wideband, and other gauges, for both. Probably gonna need a new clutch for both, better tires, etc.

And a lot of it hold sits value pretty well, you can always sell it later when you DO save up.

I was never questioned for having the bottle in the car when I got pulled over. My dad's truck has the bottle under the back seat, and if he has the seat up you can see it through the back window. He's been questioned by cops a couple times as to 'what's that bottle back there?" He always just asks them what they think it is. Guess they don't expect a 58 y/o guy in a basically stock truck to have nitrous.

Went nitrous never looked back. I dont spray on the reg, but that automatic bottle opener is always ready. I see it as power when you need it. And if something goes wrong in a turbo/sc setup its a pain to trouble shoot.
