SES w/ P1564 and P2135 on ZEX: found cure
I thought I would post this here to help peope fix an issue I had recently.
I was having some issues with the car going into limp mode with SES, SLIP, and VDC lights coming on. Threw codes P1564 and P2135. I thought it was a throttle body issue so I ordered a new one to replace it. But before I got it in the mail, the car wouldn't start in a parking lot one day.
I popped the hood and looked around the throttle body to see if a plug was loose or something and also moved the wire that goes to the ZEX box from the throttle body around. Tried to restart and it started right up. Drove home with the SES light on, but not limp mode issues.
Went home and soldered the splice and now it's fine. Basically it was just the wire that you spliced into with the ZEX box losing contact between the throttle body and ECU.
It was my fault for doing a half assed job on the wiring, but it may help others that are in a hurry like myself.
03 350Z by the way.
