Running Lean With a 30 Fuel Jet
Well I started out with a 41n/22f jets. I go to spray and it immediately leans and my microedge shuts it off. So i thought maybe its just a lean spike so i delayed the lean safety switch for .5 seconds and then up to 1 second. Still leaned out. I thought maybe my fuel jet wasn't big enough. I bought a 26,28,30 jets. I thought just try the biggest first then if its too rich step it down. I go to spray and exact same thing happens. So i thought this cant be right. I turned off the safety so i could actually spray and watch my a/f. Well i spray through second and third and my wideband said i was around 14 a/f. I could smell the extra fuel easily. So do you think theres something wrong with my wideband? It's AEM and brand new about 5k miles ago.
i had an aem wideband go bad after about 10k miles...good way to test is to spray brake cleaner on a towel and wrap the sensor in it with the key on and see if the gauge goes full rich then back to full lean ..if it goes back to lean then the sensor is bad if it stays rich then it is ok..think if u search online it will show u videos of people doing the test..idk if this is ur problem but worth checking into.
Are you sure fuel is being sprayed also? Sounds like something is blocking or restricting your fuel especially after you took off the safety.
I have the zex kit and my mistake was mixing up the lines at the nozzle due to not marking it so I was running rich.

If you can smell fuel, something isn't right.
Fuel leaking from the lines when spraying? Take the nozzle out, close the bottle, and trigger the system, see if there is a good solid shot of fuel coming out.

You shouldn't be able to smell fuel at all. Check the fuel tap, solenoid, and lines.
Actually just figured it out yesterday. Haven't had a good free weekend to check everything. Well I took the nozzle out and with the car off, primed the fuel system and activated the solenoid. Just kind of trickeled out. Obviously this wasn't right. So trace it back and pick up the solenoid and behold, somehow the line between the nozzle and solenoid was finger loose. I have no clue in the world how this happened. Tightened it up tho extra tight this time. Left the 30 jet, sprayed......A/F pegged rich!!! Thank god lol Now time to fine tune it with a smaller jet. Thanks for all the help guys.
