Well, check my sig and those will be the bolt ons. They are all there except the plenum, which will be installed by next week sometime, and the headers, which are going on Friday morning. The HKS Ignition I will be temporarily removing from the sig as they are on backorder so I won't be getting that on as planned on Friday. Anyways, the only other thing I would get is JWT cams, but that will be after nitrous.
I guess the HP/dollar factor got to me. I have no desire to blow another 10-15K on boost. I'm not that die hard for this car! I have a race car that runs 10's in NHRA and IHRA so the Z is just a fun thing for the street for me paid for mostly by race winnings.
So anyways, I like that nitrous stays off and out of the way when not wanted and is available at the flick of a switch. I will get a totally complete system professionally installed and tuned. I will have the AEM AF gauge and a nitrous pressure gauge in the NAV spot. I may measure other variables but I am not sure yet. One step at a time.

check sig - with intake and 100shot last summer
pulley, test pipes, and 150 shot jets coming this spring to a dragstrip near you.
should be low 12's hopefully if all goes well.

Do you guys have a wet kit, because i called edelbrock looking for a quality nos kit, i called looking for a wet 100 shot, but they told me they were coming out in a month with a dry 100 shot, he said 100 shot wet is more dangerous because the chance of blowing out the spark ??? So dry is better??

a dry shot is a bad idea on any car really, but its a very very bad idea on the Z.
you'll have to mess with ur timing with a dry shot to adjust for the n2o among other things. just stick to a wet kit. its not worth putting down all that money for a 35-40 dry shot. you wont have to do anything major to your engine other then get colder plugs.
and yes...better to be needing a new plug, and not a new engine.
this sucks. all this nitrous talk, and i cant even use it because of all the snow and bad weather. my bottle is on a shelf empty in the garage. another 1.5 months and all systems will be green for go.

Hey... for how long now you have the 73/43 jets(140whp)... the cars respond well, your Denso Iridium are still in shape?
Q. Why this cars you have to put BIG jets numbers to see a lot less WHP? (example 73/43 is a around 220 shot, but is 140 whp)... I been wondering this for long time now!
Thanks!
hey guys, which wet kit do you think is the most accurate, simple and easy to install because i'm looking for a quality kit that states close to their shot WHP, and i'm getting a 100 shot, what kind of 1 step colder plugs do you reccomend?
I am leaning more and more towards the NOS kits tried and true and I have been following all of the kits, they make more readily available jets too even Summit sales their jets, heck our stores stock them! NZ or ZEX is a jet nightmare above 75hp, it is almost like tuning and trial and error at that point till you find a good combo. I was using NX jets on a ZEX kit. Get NOS.
Hey MPH, good decision you have made good choices......
Hey MPH, good decision you have made good choices......
75 shot = Sig with a few bolt ons such as Pulleys, borla, ground, and intake.........dyno 256 all motor + good lauches are the biggest difference between fast times and **** man that it times..........
webcarconnection,
I put in 73/40 jets back in August (140whp) and got the times listed in my sig. I used that shot for ~ 8 runs then moved up to 73/43. I used that combo for ~ 6 runs.
So, after 5+ months and (only) 14 runs, I had no problems that were evident with the engine. The plugs were in great condition as I checked them back in early January to see how they were doing with the cold weather (they are 2 step colds). They looked like new.
I still have no answer as to why there is sucha big difference between rated HP and actual HP. It appears that the higher you go, the worse the difference becomes.
