Which kit do you guys suggest to use with an automatic car? I noticed that Mysunset350z has modiyfied his kit so he wouldnt wreck his tranny. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can get any kit there all pretty much the same. I went with NX. Haven't installed it yet but I got a MSD window switch to make sure I'm not spraying and shifting @ the same time. Another option is a TPS sensor monitor but I'm not real sure what TPS sensors do in these cars while were manually shifting.

rpm windown switches dont prevent you from spraying inbetween shifts. they only prevent you from spraying below or above a certain rpm.

if you have a manual tranny, spraying while shiftting should not be a problem for you (because your forced to let go off the gas while you shift), unless you power shift.

i did modify my kit by addiding a push button to where i'd have to be WOT and pushing the button to spray. it did get annoying though having to do that.

anyway to make a long story short, i just built in a new switch and put in inside stick shift area. you cant see it unless you take off the center counsil. ill take some pics of it when im finished to give you an idea. with this switch, it activates when i put my car in manual mode, and shuts off when i shift up, and then truns back on with i've completed shifting. basically as long as im holding the stick shift in the shift up position, the nitrous wont spray.

so, i shift up and hold it until the next gear is fully engaged, then i let go to continue spraying. sounds complicated, but its very very simple stuff.

and it only took me a month to reply. heh.

your rpm window switch will cut nitrous off at your set level of 6400, but it will turn right back on when rpms drop below that. depending on the delay, your car might not of shifted comletely meaning the nitrous system will kick back on while your car is still in the process of shifting. true we're talking tenths of seconds here, but thats all it takes with nitrous. if not now, overtime it will wear things out.

thats the main reason y i didnt get the rpm window switch. great for manuals though.

i guess it all depends on how long the delay is on the window switch. you might want to look into that.

not trying to scare anyone, but i got my n2o system to be able to enjoy it as much as possible without having to worry about anything going wrong. things are not always a perfect fit. thats where all the fun stuff with modifying it yourself comes into play. maybe im too carefull....

I have the WOT switch below the pedal, haven't instaled it yet, but what about just letting your foot up a bit while your car shifts??
