Default jet question

i just installed my nitrous today and I ran a 36/24 jet and i got 40 hp to the rear wheel. Is that what its supposed to run? Just wonderin since I was expecting more since they told me this is suppsoed to be a 75 shot.

What kit are your running?

NX measures their ratings at the wheels, thus a 75 shot is guaranteed to be within like +-2% of 75rwhp.

but

NOS, and ZEX i believe measure their ratings at the flywheel, thus a 75 shot from them is going to be much less at the wheels.

Hope that helps a little...

Peace
-Eric

How do you like the nos system? Is it the powerfogger wet system? I just ordered one and was wondering how well you like it.
Cheers Mike

Good luck, NOS foggers are real small for 125rwhp but it could be possible.
I like the ZEX and the NX foggers, way bigger than NOS and could be use with your NOS system.

I have the ZEX fogger with . 073N & .046F jets and its good for 145rwhp(dyno tested) = to 12.4@115mph at the 1/4.

so I could buy the zex fogger and it would just fit rite in where the NOS fogger is? I didnt know the fogger size mattered, i thought just the jets were important.

Default NOS

NOS pills and ZEX are different in their outer size but you should be able to just use NOS pills (73 & 46) to get the same rwhp as Carlitos!! I used a NOS splitter on a ZEX kit because the pills were easier to find.

fogger size matters, a NOS fogger are way smaller in the inside, so small that a 73 jet is bigger than the fogger, in theory you could use a NOS fogger with no jet and it will not go over 115rwhp on the G.
A NX & ZEX foggers are way bigger than NOS and your limit will be the solinoid or the engine internals (I'm pushing 403rwhp right now, I hope it holds)

Good luck!

BTW the only hp ratings that are valids are the ones you do yourself on the dyno, trust me.
The tables are just good starting reference sizes.

Hi mjedens,

that's a great idea that works.

I have a friend with a jetting drill bit set and I drill my own combination at the dyno keeping my A/F at a safe level for my specific mods, no two G/Z are the same.
