NOS Fuel Tap

I had a shop install my NOS 75 shot wetkit and the car is running like a champ on steroids.
But I do have one concern about how the fuel was tapped. According to the owner’s manual, it states to tap fuel from the fuel rail, but some of Zs with nitrous are using the SPX adapter to tap before the fuel regulator. Without a dyno or wideband, I don’t know if the fuel solenoid is receiving enough fuel due to it being regulated by the fuel regulator, oppose to tapping before the regulator.
Would like some input from you gurus, thanks.

Reason to why you should tap from the fuel rail:
I was told that the line pressure from the pump is not well-regulated, therefore it may fluctuate (45psi - 51 psi - 47 psi, etc.) whereas the damper provides a constant pressure to the fuel rails.

I'm having trouble finding where i should tap into my fuel for the silienoid(however you spell it), could someone please help me and tell me where the safest place to tap into. What parts/fittings i'd need to do this. Thanks Alot!
I am using the SPX fuel tap to run my fuel pressure gauge and I can tell you it is rock solid at about 51 PSI. BTW, the pressure regualtor is in the tank as part of the fuel pump assembly.

If course there are wires coming out of it since it is the sending unit for the fuel pressure gauge. The SPX fuel tap simply provides a 1/4" NPT port you can thread whatever you would like into. In your case you would thread in a fuel line.
