Nitrous hesitating?
Okay my juice was working fine until recently. I went to go fill up my bottle again, did that and then I decided to squeeze against a few cars. Now the window switch has been set to kick in at 3K-6400rpms. However the juice wasn't even kicking in till like 3rd gear and then it was just randomly squeezing in random gears? Anyone have any ideas as to why it wasn't fully squeezing in all gears like it used to? I mean I purged and everything and it still didn't squeeze right. It usually kicks in right around 3K and you can really feel it but as of recently it just doesn't wanna work right.
I am not an expert on Nitrous.
Is there a way you could test the lines, fuel and gas, at the NOZZLE to see if both the Nitrous and Gasoline (levels and pressure) are appropriate? Perhaps with a pressure gauge or catch-can? If you had a friend help you.....one could apply the gas peddle, while the other held the lines in a catch-can or bucket.
This probably would be dangerous because gasoline is so flammable, so be careful.

hm yeah the pressure gauge is showing good pressure but I can't seem to get a clean run out of it. I can also purge just fine so I'm not sure what it is. Maybe I need to reposition my bottle, I did have some hoses pointing upwards so maybe thats hindering the flow.

I meant, test it at where it sprays, not at the gage on the bottle.
It is possible the solenoid that controls the spray to the intake tube is clogged or defective. It is a separate solenoid from the purge solenoid. Mine came with a filter that is part of the IN fitting that screws into it. Perhaps you have a filter too. Check it.

You could also have just got some bad n20. Maybe you got the last fill before they switched tanks @ your filling station. I got mine filled yesterday and they switched tanks after they guy infront of me filled up. So I got 1st hit off a new bottle. I asked the guy if that was good and he gave me a big smile and said "oh yeah". I'd get it filled again and see what happens.
Are you using a bottle heater?
The colder local temperatures will reduce your bottle pressure (I'm not sure how much) and most wet kits are pressure sensitive.

I am using a bottle heater along with an electric autometer nitrous pressure gauge.....I squeeze right around 950 and since the last fillup it hasn't been engaging correctly. My installer set the window switch to activate at 3K and end at 6400, and it was working fine till the last fillup. Now I suspect that maybe it was just a bad fillup but I can't see how that would cause it to squeeze randomly instead of right at 3K. Oh well.
sorry for the delay. you might want to check out your window switch. it could of gone bad or needs to be reset. my buddies ford did that a few years back.
since your system does spray, a clog isnt likely. bad nitrous is bad nitrous. your not gonna have pockets of good and bad nitrous in your tank. its either all good or all bad. if it was dirty then the filter INSIDE you nitrous seleniod(spelling) would of collected all of it and have already clogged up. not likely.
another thing. if your system is coming on and off erracticly kinda like a light bulb thats flickering, you might want to check for a loose ground somewhere in the wiring. if it comes on and stays on, then thats not a likely problem.
good luck.

hm maybe my window switch has indeed gone bad. The system itself doesn't squeeze eratically..what I had meant was that when I engage the whole system and then go wot......it doesn't squeeze right at 3K but rather eratically at varying rpms and not being able to squeeze thru the full powerband. hopefully this makes sense.
right. then just go back and check out your window switch. try getting it reset first and if you still are having problems then uninstall it and test your system without it. if everything runs fine without the window switch installed then you know the cause.
they are the decah hinges, i had them locally installed. i got the kit for a good price @ $1300, but i ended up paying (raped) another $1400 in labor because at the time there wasnt a kit out specifically for the 350z. i think vertical doors makes a kit just for the 350z now. look into it.
