Question What do you guys use to activate nitrous?

Do you guys have foot throttles or do you guys push a button?

Hmmm,

that would be hella hard to do with a stick shift. When I plan to drag for fun what should I do since I power shift?

WOT Switch (foot throttle) and a window switch when you miss a gear.

Thanks for the reply guys. I was planning on the same setup, but I wanted to see what everyone else was doing to see if there were any better ideas available.

Default What Pain

Arm the system after burn out, purge, go to the rpm level you want to leave the line (in my case I leave at 6200), and then floor it and hang on!!!

the purpose of the tps switch is if you don't have a throttle cable.
You splice the tps into the TPS sensor in the ECU and it gives you the signal. Much more accurate than a wot switch and so safer.

my old celi has drive by wire as well and that's how I did it there

here's a link from NX:

http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/TPS.htm

very easy install (you just need to know where the TPS wire is)

my old setup was like this:

Arm Switch -> tps switch -> window switch (above 3000 on, 200 below limiter off) -> nitrous relay's

this way you don't risk breaking the fragile arm of the wot switch (it was not intended to go under the gas pedal) and it trully will only spray at wot.

here's another link to the maximizer that has the tps/window switches build in plus a a/f emergency shutoff and gear based spray control...this is the way to go
it allows you to spray let's say a 50 shot in first gear and then gradually go up to your 100 shot hence less spinning off the line:

if you get the maximizer you need nothing else other than a palm pilot to program it of course

I'd recomend using a RPM window switch along with a full throttle switch. No matter what, you don't want to use nitrous at any rpm unless you are at WOT. If you combine the two, which isn't hard to do, you'll have a pretty safe setup.
It's a bit more costly, but a lot more peace of mind.....
