I'm staying small but loud at the same time. I'm going to run 2 8" Kicker L7's in a custom ported box off a 1500 watt amp and get a 4-ch and prob run diamond audio's again since I found them cheap. I already got the Z-2 in my car now so I'm set for later

Haha I hear ya. I just wanted mine loud enough to cover road noise and wind noise when the windows are down.

see I want my hatch area since the car is so small. I don't like being closed in and I think if I had the huge box that went under the rear strut bar witht he amp racka nd tehn 2 amps on top of that, I'd get closed in quickly

 

Is Focal a bad brand? When I was checking out the speakers at Mobile one the Focal speakers seemed the cleanest and loudest without as much power usage. Granted the rep was showing me all this so is it possible they are just over hyped? What would be something ya'll would recommend?

diamond audio, elemental design (my boy got components and I stalled them before I knew anything about them and liked them personally), soleil's JL's sounded pretty good

I really like the DLS comps. Sound VERY natural and soft yet not too soft.

My buddy compared them to his Diamond comps and said it was one of the few comps he's heard that plays just about everything pretty well.
