yeah im in on a group guy depending on the price and just wait to install them. Im want to autocross on my stock suspension first to make sure I know my car better and what I expect out of the stance.

Not necessarily so, coilovers will be just as stiff whether you are stock height or laying your diff on the ground. That is what the dampening adjustment is for.

Nope, as you lower a coilover the piston threads onto the lower casing. This does not take anything away from how far the piston will compress upon hitting a bump. Now if you were to drop the spring perches in order to be lower than that would have and effect on the shock travel and the life of the coilover.
But with the Stance's you should not have to do that.
And this would be much easier to visualize with a coilover over in my hands, lol

Dustin, that pic looks like it's on an S chassis. The Z front and rear is a little different. Look at that pic and just imagine turning the shock to raise or lower it.
