Abs are over rated. I am 235 lbs, and have come to the realization that I will never see a 6 pack again, unless I am drinking it.

I do stay in the gym, but abs is the only thing I don't work on. To much stress on my back from my motorcycle accident. Cardio 3-4 days a week will probably do you some good, and no fast food!

sean, you could totally get abs back. especially if you have a bad back, you need to strengthen your lower back and abs for a stronger core. do you still workout at elmwood? i never see you there.

I get in 30 minutes of cardio a day along with 4 days of solid workouts. I figured i would lose the weight first off then head for building some lean muscle. Once i get to where i want to be, then i will shred the fatness.

I quit drinkin, count my calories, eat 6 meals a day, spank my schit daily (switch arms up to keep things proportioned), and don't eat fast food at all anymore. My meals pretty much consist of chicken, fish, beef, eggs, brown rice, pertayters, protein drinks, veggies, and water.. lots of water. I supplement with BSN products (Syntha-6 and Cellmass) and get an extra boost before my workout with NO-Xplode <-- like Red Bull on CRACK!.

the only thing i need to get rid of is the cigarettes. But damn i love them too much.

Yes, I am there 5 days a week, I usually go between 6:30-7:00 depending on what time I can get the shop closed. I do lower back, like hyper extensions, and dead lifts, but when I am done, my legs feel paralyzed, because of lower back hurting, same with lunges, and squats some times. I had broken bones in my spine from my accident, and was ejected 20 feet over a car. My back has never been the same since.

Sounds like you have a pretty good routine. When I first got back into it, I only did cardio for a month, before I started lifting. If you need any pointers, or info, check out bodybuilding.com . They have really good prices on the supplements, and they have an excellent site, for all routines, and they even sort by goal, depending on what you are trying to accomplish. There info is step by step, and it even gives you a work out sheet to print, that tells you the exercises, and helps you keep track of the weight and reps. Best site I have been on. Oh, and I am battling cancer sticks myself, so I know how it is.

I started a no carb diet a week ago today and lost 6lbs already. All I can really eat is meat (nothing breaded), cheese, eggs, and some vegetables. The only cardio I get is when I play basketball. I do have a membership to Tulane's Reily Center but don't really go... I'm trying to get down to about 185-190lbs when that happens I might start hitting the weights but not for mass.

man, you need to hook me up with that Reily hookup homie. That place is murder when it comes to membership fees.

I would say come to West Jeff Fitness with me, but i'm sure thats too far for you. Elmwood is closer, but again, $80+ a month can kiss mah yeller ***.

i had a few friends go on that low/no carb diet.. worked well for them. Make sure when you're done you get yourself on a healthy diet to maintain the weight you dropped.

Wow all of a sudden seems like everyone is into working out again. I just started back again for about a month now. Been out of it for almost 4 years now. I must admit its f-ing hard to start all ova. Right now Im mainly doing cardio with just some light lifting so i can get a bit used to it again. Lost almost 10lbs since

I'll hopefully move into this apartment within the next week & have my bike here soon. That'll be my excercise.

Try the Hulk smoothie @ Smoothie King, it has weight gain & protein in it, comes in three flavors, and taste pretty good.
