shawn that's some good advice, but it doesn't really accurately describe my issues.
This is the first time my amp has not been working, and it didnt work at all until the next day (I didn't check it). My sirius usually goes out a lot and is shakey. The battery is new, but may be under powered. I still think I have a short in me and my dad's make shift wiring job. Something is rattling behind my radio too, so maybe it pulled the wire almost loose.
If checking all of those connections and battery terminal yield no results , I'll consider upgrading the power cables.

Check your ground, remote, and power cable from the amp to the radio, and from the amp to the battery. I guess start behind the radio first since you hear a rattle back there, and work you way around. Do you have a meter, or a test light?

pops has one that I can use this weekend.
It's something I really need to pick up sometime.

If u want we can check the wiring and stuff this weekend to be sure. Its a new yellow top optima and should be good. I promise to not even pour oil on u thru the engine bay this time!
