The IPP route scares me less. I'm trying to learn as much as I can on a short timetable before I go completely catatonic.

That's what my sister-in-law said, she works at LSU and it took her an hour to get from jefferson b/c of closed streets and what not...

You can buy one of those blocks, have it shipped to IPP, and have him build it, without you having to get stuck on the core charge up front. I think it's about $2k.

Would it be weird (like would the car feel different from stock) driving the stage 1 motor without boost?

I wish they had pre-built race heads. . .didn't see any. . .

I'm not even sure what to ask when I call tomorrow. I'm just going to tell him to talk to me like I'm an idiot who doesn't know **** about cars.

what exactly are you looking for. . .just a built short block. . .? If it's an HR then ask about all the things you will need to make it work. . .

I'm not even sure what I want.

Nissan quoted me 10k for a new VQ35DE installed. I want to come in as cheaply (but reliably) under that as I can.

I'm looking at this as an opportunity to pick up something a little nicer.

Today's urbandictionary.com word of the day:

March 27: Bromance

Describes the complicated love and affection shared by two straight males.

Steve: Ah, Dave!!! I can't believe you stole this first pressing of Aladdin Sane from your record store for me. We were just talking about this the other night.

Dave: No sweat, pal.

Steve: That is some full-on bromance. You're the man.
