I would really love to go with FI but I don't think it's really needed for me right now. I want to do some serious tracking with my baby. I think if I go with FI to soon I won't be able to fully handle and appreciate it. I need to learn my car, get comfortable, and gradually move up to higher power like FI will give. I can't start drifting with a 400whp twin turbo Z. I need to learn how to do it with what I got first.

You can successfully run up to 430-450whp if you get a custom tune by someone that really know what they are doing. After that tune, don't fuq with it. Now that's not meaning you can constantly go running around boosting up on your tune and staying at the 450whp range. Normal driving, you can stay on low boost and run around the 350-380 range. You will be fine. If you stay in the higher range, you will be pushing the envelope and of course the life of the motor will be shortened. I know a little about FI but I really am no guru when it comes to FI so don't quote me for 100% truth. The things I am writing are information I pick up reading through the FI section. Lee can give you more specifics on our FI setups.
I completely understand where you're coming from. If I did FI my car I wouldn't try running it every day, in fact I'd probably rarely drive it to try and save the motor as long as I could. I'm kind of used to the MR2 with it's cast iron block, that thing could take a bullet plus some. I'm thinking of staying N/A for now and possibly building up the motor to track as well.
I also agree with you on the tracking issue, I'm the same way with wanting to know my car before doing anything to drastic and trying to learn on that, I just really want that damn turbo. Hahaha. I will eventually get it but I think for right now you're right and it's maybe better to hold off until I can push my car to it's limits and be able to control it.
