I guess let everyone know if that works for you, and the date will be set.

however, pulling into FQ that late/early is a mf'er.. I've just not had good luck at all with it. Having a full day in NO requires some logistics we may just want to pass on. The streetcars do a good job of getting you ALL around the FQ and Garden District, but youre still on foot alot. And, honestly, I'd rather save walking around like that until its cooler, like Halloween. Even those tours are hellish at this time of year.

Might be easier to just head to BR on Sat. Maybe do something corny like the Myrtles or whatever.
The Myrtles is like an hour and a half north of Baton Rouge. It's pretty much in St. Francisville where my gf's families lake house is. Either way, it's fun.

LOL, I think it is. Plus the fact that the guy is surrounded by guns, reminds me of Adam. Wouldn't happen to be a relative, huh?

usually so, but it will vary depending on the property, how full they are, etc...some places will do a 1/2 day's rate for extremely late checkouts...i'm the front desk manager at the Royal Sonesta(300 block of Bourbon St), so if you wanna PM me with the specifics i'll see what i can arrange...also, on g35driver most of the time, so u might wanna PM me there too (same username)

^ thanks

I think we have decided to wait until later in the fall to come down? so its not so freaking hot, maybe halloween or sum sum? To all of you living there you have any good links to places that give airboat rides through the swamps? so we dont get a shitty tour.

whats the parking like with Royal Sonesta? Would it be possible to have a group of spots set aside for 4-5 Zs? If not with your place, can you think of any places where they have plentiful, secure parking?

Depending on the events going on the date on your arrival, I can most likely (95%) get you the spots. I'm the valet manager at the New Orleans Marriott (555 Canal St.) which is 4 small blocks away from the Royal Sonesta. We have a 400 car garage that is very secure.

Mr. Toeknee, did I talk to you at the Marriott?...i was there cooking a function with UNO out of the 3rd floor banquet kitchen towards the end of the spring...also, our garage is owned by an outside company so i do not have any pull w/ the garage, but if the Marriott falls through there is a lot on the corner of Conti and Rampart that is gated with an attendant, i use to park there for 2 yrs straight before i got promoted at the Sonesta, they almost always have spots available

I know you know that area better than I, but I'd be freaked out to leave my car on Rampart overnight.. even with armed guards.

^^^haha...no, not the funky butt...its across the street from the chevron & police station...you're right it's kinda sketchy, but the lot i'm referring to is setup pretty nice...only 1 way in and out, and the attendant is the first thing you see when you come in...not to mention that 80% of the cars at any given time are usually employees at the hotel
