The *OFFICIAL* OHIO thread.
A few of uslike track days but that is not anything close to racing.
And there is NO such thing as "affordable racing" to begin with lol. Russell and Z1 have probably poured a small fortune into their SpecZ car. Wow - a whole $500 cash prize? 2 cheap tires, lol. But thanks for sharing, NASA is a good organization for enthusiasts.

Hey fellas,
Its has been quite a while since I've been on this forum; I was just reminded (thanks Mike) that I should post up some info about the Ohio G Club's charity rally coming up this weekend.
This is the second year for the Driven with Purpose road rally. This year we're turning it into a two day event: Saturday a time attack event, and Sunday a more traditional Rally. If you attended last year, you'll remember part of the route was on Ohio 555; Saturday's event will be an all out assault on the triple nickel. While it is an open public street, the object for Saturday is to make the fastest possible trip from Zanesville down the 555 and back. There will also be a dinner gathering Saturday at the Tilted Kilt Polaris and an after party downtown Columbus in the Park St area with available VIP parking (more details to come on this).
Sunday will be the more traditional Rally although hitting less checkpoints than last year and focusing on a totally different route.
We also made the decision to change the minimum donations to really try and bring in more people. The day of event donations will be $50 for one day or $100 for both days. All proceeds go to the Central Ohio Young Survival Coalition to support patients and survivors of Breast Cancer.

You can message me here or through the contact info on the website. Thanks, and I hope to see you there!

Thanks Ryan for posting!
Guys, this a great event for a great cause. Get out and support it! Spend a day with your child in the car or whoever. My son and I did this last year and Seth was 13. It was a joy to hear him talk about the drive and supporting a great cause while doing so. Since then, he has reminded me to make sure we participate again.
The weather, at this point, is looking great! Come out and enjoy your toy and support a great cause. Thank you to all the volunteers for the time and efforts for this!

anyone need snow tires i have 4 on stock 03 350 wheels they are 10/10 in tread only used like 200 miles. I no longer have a Z and would like to get them out of my basement. PM me if interested as i dont check this section much.
Hey guys hope you all are having a great holiday here in Ohio, unfortunately over the weekend someone backed up into my Z and he was in a ram 1500 so the hitch put a nice scratch in my carbon fiber hood and there are a series of cracks along the bottom right of the hood in the clear coating.
I'm not aware of any shops that can fix this so I was hoping someome knows of places that does this type of work. He has agreed to pay for it so I'm just looking for a quality shop. I'm from the Cleveland/Akron area but wouldn't have problem with driving to Columbus or Cincy if need be for a good job.

I've done quite a bit of fiberglass work... and done some stripping and restoration of a few of my carbon pieces. I'll tell you that you probably won't find many people willing to do that. If the cracks are anything more than clear coat spidering, its not going to be easily fixable. Also you said it is scratched... someone can not repair a naked carbon weave simply because new material needs to be laid in and it would be impossible to match the existing weave. The process would be very labor intensive and you'd probably end up spending more to fix it than a new hood costs.
Honestly, I'd go get a quote anywhere, it will likely be more than a new hood. Tell the guy a new hood is less than that, and enjoy your new hood.

I don't really drive downtown.
