Anybody planning on going to ZDayz @ Tail of The Dragon this year?

Mike, have you been back since we did the Midwest caravan in 2005?

 

ZROC will have their usual 20+ members. We have been tapped to staff the Poker Run this year. Per usual, we will have members cruising down about every day that week A few of us spend the entire week, then some come on Wed/Thursday/Friday. Big caravan coming back on Sunday - we make pretty good time doing pick and rolls around the traffic. The more the merrier! Details as it gets closer.

 

So let me get this straight...I'm not allowed to have Lambo doors, but you're allowed to drive your Z in Ohio winters? At least I had a legitimate excuse, what's yours? ROFL



So what's Tail of the Dragon like? I've never been.

 

Huh? I don't get it...It was like 45 degrees yesterday? I try and keep it out of the snow, but I'm careful if I have to...Whats wrong with that? lol.

And the Tail of the Dragon is pretty darn epic...Many many many many turns...

 

Count me in! Where do you guys usually meet? Around Columbus?

 

It's currently 8pm and 82 degrees here, so all I have to go on are memories of last winter. It will definitely snow after 2/12 though; that's when I get home >.<

I wonder if I'll even be able to attend Zdayz...I really hope I can crank out 1-2k miles early on to get that engine replacement =\

 

Anywhere between Columbus and Fontana Village. For you southern Ohio guys, generally just across the river somewhere on 75. All depends on peoples timing coming together.

 

Its about time cincy and other ohio people got their stuff together! I am in for any/all meets in the cincy area when I am not working. Car will be back up and running in a few days....still need a tune tho.

Any one want to tune a turbo 350 with a greddy EMU???

Didnt think so. Im selling the EMU for a UTEC unless I find a shop that will tune me. Suggestions? THX

Agreed on the salt, It has to be gone before my Z hits the road. .

We should def. get a local meet put together up here this spring, Maybe at the Taylorsville reserve or something. I'll work on that!

 

I'll be at Zdays once again... I am probably caravaning down with some MI guys. depending on when the ZROC guys are leaving we may meet up with them.. we'll see..

Yeah, it's pretty flat around here. But like you say Taylorsville reserve area, and Little York / Dog Leg Rd. area (although tends be alot of traffic), and there are decent roads north and south of the Englewood reserve also. We could put together a respectable loop around the area.

I don't expect to get my Z back out for a while anyways, looking at the weather. Also, still need about 600 more break-in miles.

 

Dave was hanging with us so much in the S2K we made him join, lol. The OC in ZROC sometimes stands for Other Cars.

5th year for me @ ZDAYZ, should be another great turnout.

Pong Tourney will definitely get some attention. Every year i decide to but every year, I do less and less events and more driving.

Oh well.

We are leaving thursday around noon and stopping for lunch in Richmond KY.

Plans changed. Leaving early Thursday morning. Plan to hit the rest area in Florence, KY by 11 - 1130. That rest stop has a huge parking lot which will be good to meet up if we can. I figure we can gas up again at the BP on RT321 in Lenoir City, TN before heading off to RT129 and up into Fontana.

The station has a "beer cave" and is a decent place to stock up. If someone wants groceries, there's a Food City on the right just before HWY 11.

Personally, I'll do my grocery shopping in Robbinsville, NC. I love the roads headed there.
