Wo00T!!!! took my car out of storage last night!!!


got my exhaust, test pipes, and polished mani installed, and drove around for a while. it felt sooo goood!!!

now i hear we're supposed to get crazy amounts of snow tonight and all week so that pretty much sucks.

 

Joy to Michigan and Snow. I should have bought a snowmobile instead of a Z

 

snow = ruining my week. theres NO WAY i am going to be able to get my car up to DTown from Ann Arbor w/ 8 inches of snow on the ground. And i still need to install my damn coolant hoses. Why couldnt this fricken weather wait till next week????

 

I picked up my Z in January of 2003. 2 days after I got it we had 4" of snow. I didn't plan on spending $1000 on snow tires but it is better then getting killed. Michigan and sports cars don't mix unless you invest in some snow tires that is

 

yeah, i wasnt planning on driving it in the snow at all, i wouldnt have taken it out of storage if i didnt have this stupid show this weekend.

and i def dont want to buy snow tires for 1 day of driving

 

I get home from Mrytle Beach today and its freezing rain. This sucks. One good thing. UPS left me a delivery notice on the door. Something is coming today. I don't know what parts are here but I hope its either the hoses or short shirfter.

 

Mike, Jon and anyone else that is planning or thinking about going to zdayz, the 3rd newsletter is out and I was wondering if you two got it sent to you? Ed are you going to make it I think we have enough rooms to make it????

I'mma cornfuzed! So, 1. We have to pay admission? 2. Is it per person or ber club? I don't get it.

I can't wait to get my 350 out of storage. The 300zx started going nuts on me yesterday. It won't accelerate, I think it's the MAF or the o2. So I get a new o2, the threads are wrong so it wont screw into the manifold, looks like I have some fab work to do tonight. Hopefully that fixes it, I did the fuel filter this morning too. The MAF is $200+ dollars, so If that's bad I'm gonna cry. And I had to drive the eclipse to work today, damnit. It's cover in salt, it hasent been in salt since last year. I really wanted to keep it in the garage all winter cause now it's just a drag car. Hell, it's got no power steering, no washer fluid sprayers, and BFG drag radials! What a pain in the *** to drive, my employer can't say I'm a bad employee heh. But this is my last week here, next week I start my new job in Warren right accrost the street from the GM Tech center on van dyke. weee!

 

The payment was for car show club pre show prices only. If you want to go and get a t-shirt and a very nice bbq dinner than that is also cheaper if you pre pay. The more people that go the better it will be!!

 

Sounds good Mike!! I think Godspeed will be done with mine this week, am planning to pick up on Saturday if all goes well and the weather well ok the d-- weather stops snowing!!
Misha I need pics of your orange hoses I promised Morris of the zdayz Morris's that I would send him a pic. He has pretty much the same setup you do.

How about we meet at the 13 mile and Woodward parking lot, ground zero for the Dream Cruise? What does everyone think about that? The corner of the lot is big enough to handle as many cars as we tend to have show up and it would be a good start for the spring and summer meets. It is about half way between all of us and Woodward is the home to Cruising! There is a nice pub over in the complex that I know the owner and he always said bring a few people over for a great time well lets give it a try!!!

I plan to do the short shifter install this weekend. Hope to get my Samco's soon.

 

So who will be at Autorama? Looks like I'm gonna make it down there on Saturday. I just posted on DetroitZ.com, but I see that's not getting much use.
