I think I may do one last ride in the car today before the snow and rain comes. Anyone up for a group drive? I know some of you have put the car away for the year.

I have an Idea for show of the engine. There are panels in the hood. One could cut mirrors to velcro to hold mirrors for a show. That would look great.

Jon,

I am getting ready to pull my calipers off this weekend for painting. Did you loose a lot of brake fluid when you took them off? Is the fitting just bolted on or is there a special connection that I will need a special tool to remove? I am also removing the caliper bracket to put new rotors on I heard this is a pain. Oh well I have all winter. Where did you get the 350Z letters for the caliper? Did you spray a high temp clear coat over them afterwards?

three weeks till purchase of the body kit. Zless, how much was the paint job at Buzz Off? I may just take it there because they did an great job on yours.

well here is what i paid or close to it.
480.00 kit
160.00 s/h
650.00 paint and prep they have to bake the things twice and i asked for extra clear coat.
200.00 to install plus taxes and crap.

mike, you dont need to disconnect the brake lines. g2 makes a paint on instead of a spray on kit. a bit more $ but worth it. had mine for more then a year without cracking or chipping. gives the calipers a clear coat look too.

zless, how long did it take for them to do all that? did you leave your car there for them?

mzack, are you putting your bodykit on before or after winter? cause i'm bringing mine there for that bodykit after winter.

I can powder coat stuff in my shop (The garage heh) But I don't know about brake callipers because they have that rubber boot. I know they get hot under normal opperation, so I would thinkthey can take the 400*F needed to cure the powder. Actually I can't PC stuff, my oven is broken, but I'm building a new one.
