I didn't know you had the stereo controls on your wheel. You need to ditch those, they will slow down your car when racing. (LOL - Just kidding) I've been wanting to add that to my ride.

What HU did you install? Want to get rid of your old 6 disc HU? Mine skips when cold.

Is there any info or tutorial on threefiftyz-tech.com? (I don't know why they restrict that website from being linked on here.)

Rob if you got some spare cash go to one of the AutoX classes! They really go through some excellent techniques that you just wouldn't LEARN unless you watched someone... braking balance etc! Pretty good stuff

I just finished Phase 1 of Evolution (Autox) school and it was a lot of fun and learning. I was very tempted to do Phase 2 as well but decided to stay off as this is my first year and there already is too much to process

I am using the Kenwood HU that I had in my old beater Sebring. KDC-MPV5025.

You telling me to search Rob!? lol.. I never would have thought of that. lol Yes, there are a lot of threads about people saying they use it, the install instructions are fine. I just want to know where to put the Ir sensor..

I'll probably just drill a small hole in my console (maybe in the rectangle piece in front of the cup holder) and put it there. The sensor is really small.. maybe 1/4" in diameter.

BTW. I am in mourning. The Sebring is gone. 189780 miles, 13 years. Good times.. I think the distributor went (again) - and she failed to start anymore. I swore I had stopped putting money into her - so she got donated to Purple Heart. I have until winter to find a replacement.

Does anyone have any interest in a car cover for their Z? I was going through old car stuff, and realized I still have my cover for my old Z. I hardly come on here any more though, so if you pm me, it may take a few days for me to get back to you. I obviously don't have a use for it any more, so I'll probably take any reasonable offer(I think it was about $100 new). I don't really want to ship it or anything though, but I'm in Royal Oak, and I'll meet up anywhere within reason. I only used it for one winter, and the car was in a garage, so the cover is basically still new.

Nice. Congrats on the 370Z order! Let me know how the rev-match technology works.

Solid red. I should hear today when it will get here.

The rev match seems really neat in the ones I've test driven. We'll see what it's like in normal driving when I'm not downshifting just to downshift.

HAHAHAH
We got the EXACT same car..

Yeah it is fun when you are racing, but when you are just cruising and you put it into neutral it tries to rev match...
So I am going to shut it off most of the time, you'll see. Its different.
Fun AS HELL though when your messing around

Mine will however NOT be stock for long..hehehe

I will really miss being the only solar orange car on the road. I know I'm not, but I haven't seen another one in person.

Tire Shop Question:

Does anyone have an "in" with a good tire shop?

Since Zs gobble up rear tires like a pedophile goes through a school playground; I figure someone here has to have a side job just to get discounts on tires.

After a week of abuse on the Dragon, my right rear tire finally gave up the ghost. I can find tire deals all day long on the internet, but I'd like to know a good shop that I can trust not to ***** up my wheels.

(Better yet, one that has an alignment rack so I can finally nail the toe on the rear. Ohh - could that be a cause of the worn tires? I think so!!! Yes I'm an idiot for driving on 1.7 degrees of toe in on the rear but I ran out of time before ZdayZ. Such is the price of suffering from rectal cranial inversion.)

Any advice is appreciated ...

My tire installer shop is Auto Europe in Royal Oak (or Birmingham?). Maybe not very local to you.. maybe they can recommend a place closer. They deal in Porsche's, Lotus', etc..

Hey guys. My Z is almost done with its transformation. It will no longer look like this:

New paint job with new Nismo V2 body kit. Car is being done in Chrome Silver with Gloss black (4 coats paint/4 coats clear) around the bottom, the front mouth piece, and the canards. Also new Volk GT7 gloss black rims with Toyo R888 tires the whole way around; new blacked out 06-08 headlights; and I had all 4 of my Stoptech calipers powdercoated the ZR1 candyblue. A few pics (minus the car) below.

As a heads up, I'm going to be selling my 19 inch Gunmetal Volk GT7's and my 03 blacked out headlights. Pics of the car to follow as soon as its all put back together early next week

^^ Sweet ride!! Wish I could afford the Volks! I don't even have to ask. I might be interested in the headlights depending on the price and condition.

For the next couple of weeks I'll be sporting my stockies again while I wait for new rear tires. I painted the stockies today a metallic graphite color with clear coat over it. Now I wish I hadn't sold the spacers.
