whats the cost of the clear bra? is it tape on or spray on?

 

It is a clear sheet that is cut to fit the car and it sticks on like contact paper. It is thicker than just about anything I have seen and protects pretty good from stone chips to dead bugs. Does not fade and is waxable, I have it on my front and rear lens with color added.

 

Wow I never knew that the shield could be painted??? anymore info??

 

It was an idea I had to cover up the head lights with a silver tint to blend with the car. Never could get it the way I wanted, he did change the color on the rear tail lights to a cherry red and I like the look as well.

 

who here polished their stock plenum? i remember someone mentioning it, i want to say jon, but im not sure. the cost to have someone do it is sick.

i think im going to make a weekend project out of it to get a head start on things that need to be done come spring.

I did mine
just lots of sandpaper i used a couple of air tools with sandpaper on them too
various grits

 

regular sandpaper was good enough for it? ill use a dremel to get things started and then elbow grease to polish it up. thanks.

 

ummmm i used wet paper. more expensive but easier to work with. and I used a orbital sander for the big surface areas and a dremel for the rest. Lastly NXT polish little container to bring the shine right out.

 

great. thanks man. did you use a torque bar to torque the plenum bolts to spec?

YES they will crack or strip out if you do it wrong. I have the pattern on how to retorque them down and what # to torque them to. Also I have a torque wrench if you need one.
