Sean-I agree that most shops won't do a dang thing about it.

Mike-glad you got some freakin new tires....those things were slicks!
Hey Aj, it was nice meeting you as well. I hope to meet the rest of you.

Maybe we can hook the cipher up to my car and make some adjustments.

Aj, are you using two non-foulers per o2 sensor. Thats what I read on the forum. I guess that is the way that is should be done to avoid a SES light.

Thanks Jess! ex-girlfriend was supposed to refinance it. She wouldn't so I took it back. I don't need a second car (or a second payment!) and, at this point, would rather keep the Z. One of 'em has to go though. Car is from out west (purchased in Vegas) and has only seen half of one MI winter. I've been splitting my driving between it and the Z just so people see the for sale sign. Once I get the rear window regulators replaced this week it'll go up on Autotrader.

Questions for all,

Hey guys,

1. Im replacing my brakes this upcoming weekend, and I was wondering what you guys prefer. I have a non brembo brake system currently. Does anyone know the OEM parts? I was looking at putting Raybestos (rotors and pads) but since you guys know a lot more than me, any help is appreciated!

2. I saw someone yesturday going eastbound on 14mile road about mound to van dykeish area, A blue Z, carbon fiber hood, had the cutout in the front bumper for air intake closer to the drivers headlight, and had an aftermarket wing. Thought it was someone from this crew.

Take care guys and thanks for any help.

AJ, from what I've read, it seems like the 06's are more sensitive and like to throw that code more. We can hook up cipher and verify the code, but not sure how to solve the issue. Do some searching on this site -- i'm sure there's a solution.

Albop, you really need rotors already??? How many miles?

Mike-I have read a ton on the site, and am seeing the same prob as well....
We will have to hook it up get the codes, then I will put it up there to see if anyone else has any ideas. I read about using Brilo pad peices in it...I wonder if that works??

Albop, I would get Raybestos/Ceramic like you said. Bendix makes a GREAT brake and rotor combo for our car...that is what alot of the SCCA guys use...

I also have seen that car, on Big Beaver by the mall...no-one I know.

I might roll up to OU Wednesday if some of you guys are going. Still want to check out the sound and smell of the test pipes before picking some up; but now I'm thinking twice after hearing the problems getting the SES light to go away.

don't they sell SES defeat harnesses like the Mustang guys use? It's a simple voltage dividing circuit IIRC. The rear sensors just need to see a lower signal like when the cats are in place. I don't think the Mustang crowd, on any large scale, has heard about the non-fouler trick though.

It might have been Dil...
Did it have the grey Nismo wheels??

Sean-that is a good point, I don't think they have that for the Z

Jeff -I am 95% sure I am going to OU tomorrow night
You can smell my car if you want, it really is not bad at all really....The sound you will love I think

Nick, Mike's, Derrick, Dil, Craig, Yaseen, Jonathan, Sean any of you guys heading over th OU..WE could have a huge showing if we all go up there....
It would be pretty amazing to have that many Z's in place...

I might have seen the same one on M-59 and on Mound Rd..... does it have quite a large hood scoop and a plate that I believe says "MYSC350" (Stillen supercharger) and no tinted windows.
