What are some of the names of streets or neighborhoods that people street race on in the Chicago area? I need the info for something I'm writing. Thanks in advance for the help.

 

Doty Road out on 103 stony Island, pple race Bikes Cars there all the time

 

Wow! Doty Road is still the place eh? Cops still block both ends of the street during their busts?

 

i used to race in chinatown every weekend. you can't anymore ever since they started cleaning it up.

103rd and stony island in the city.

in the burbs, try the elgin o'hare at 6am on weekends during nice weather. no joke. lots of vettes, vipers, etc. there are also nice frontage roads on the side of the EOE with stoplights. you can circle around a few times from roselle rd. to irving park - two lanes, side by side.

This is in the Roselle/Schaumburg/Bloomingdale/Hanover Park/Itasca area depending where you are at on Elgin Ohare.

During the summer people meet at the corner of Irving Park Rd, and Barrington at the Crispy Kreme/McDonalds in Hanover Park, also people meet up at the 1000 building off of Mecham Rd in Schaumburg every Wed and thurday nights. Checkout www.mwir.net, that is where most of the info of the gatherings are at.....but just a warning don't ask where the races are at cuz you might get flammed cuz they think the police look into that kind of stuff to crack down on street racing, personally if you going to race stay with the tracks.
