Hey all in the area. I would like to start arranging a meet for the upcoming spring 03 season. I am not going to make this a forum members only meet, rather it will be an "enthisasts" meet, printing invites to be passed around in hopes that many will come out for the day and have some fun. Possible run around town that night if there are enough people to go. (Imagine bein the guy in the next lane over as 20+ sports cars roll past him....)

Initial preparation tells me that our civic meet last season went over very well at the Busse Woods reserve in Schaumburg at the junction of 355/290 and I90 near the Woodfield Shopping center area. Most from the area should know, but info will be posted as it is arranged for those who need directions. I will most likely plan for there at this point.

Like we did at the civic meet, it would be an open invite, and some foods and drinks would be provided, but all donations (food, drink, money towards supplies, etc...) are greatly appreciated and welcome. Most likely it would be along the lines of bringin meat for the bbq if you have a special request, or drinks if you prefer something specific.

There are plenty of restaurants and things in the area for after the meet, and the free parking garage is just across the way at streets of woodfield if weather turns sour.

Anyways, just an initial post to let those in the area know, and pass on to those that are not on the boards until some official info is available. Please post if you have any suggestions or just to give me a heads up on how many we would be looking at.

Hey Omega350z, you should contact Greg at www.thedriven.org, he is kinda like the president/webmaster for The Driven Orgnization. You guys probably could plan out something together for the spring meets.

I have an idea tho.....i have already notified the people at maxima.org, to make this our initial 2003 meet. I was thinking that we can meet somewhere and head out to the Chicago Autoshow some time between 14 and th 23 of Febuary, but we haven't decided on a date yet. Man just think a bunch of Nissan's maybe a few oddballs, rolling into the parking lot of McCormick Place. I bet we would get a lot of looks.

Some of the guys from www.maxima.org, decided that 2/15/03 is the date we will be going to the Chicago Auto Show. Now we just have to figure out what time, who will be going and where we all are going to meet at before we head out. Any good idea's, where to meet at? Times?

 

How about some altimas from altimas.net? We had a nissan meet in Dec, but it was way too cold, 2 z's showed up If you guys want some modded Alty's, let us know

I'd be in. I can't wait for my first Z meet.. It would be great to meet all you guys. When I had a Celica, we used to have meets pretty frequently.. hopefully that could become a trend here.
