Saw a lot of Z's out on woodward friday. No one that I knew I don't think... saw that orange Z with the big hood and guages... the one that ppl were saying drives like an ******* through OU and construction... But when I saw him he was driving quite casual

 

AJ - How was the drifting/autocross? I want to see those vids if you took any.

My track day was really nice. There was harly any cars, and I got over 2 hours of track time. It was a great experience. I think I did very well. I got some good videos. Only 1 incar vid. The rest I had Jess take. There was a 07 Ferrari F430 (absolutly georguous car, really nice to see somone actually drive a car like that). He was on track same time as me, steve, and eric. There were also a a few s2000, 07 corvette, and a subie running in our class.

That was a GREAT Memorial's Day. That was an F430? I thought that was a 360. That was a very nice car indeed. I'd like to have more people come out next time and we could have a big Z train running the track.

There was definately barely anyone on the track, and getting a ride in an A-Class car (Paul's White S2000) was awesome. I got to see just how hard those turns can be taken.

Johnny - Did either you or Steve time yourself around the track?

 

No I did not time myself on the track. I was focused on driving the line, hitting the apex, entry/exit speeds in the corner. This was my first time out so I figured that was enough to worry about.

 

Let me know when you guys are doing Billy's Exhaust and stuff
I am down for helping.
I was hoping to do it on a weekend, its supposed to be gorgeous this weekend!

John didn't go to the autocross, alot of personal things have come up and I didn't have time to go. Damn sign up fee out the window, but ohh well

 

There's many more SCCA run ones that'll be at Lawrence Tech University. I'm thinking of signing up for some of those.

No prob Billy, that exhaust is flowing like crazy. I could feel the air coming out from 8ft back.

 

Billy what exhaust did you put on? Lol I thought you were done with the Z.....

Gingerman HPDE was excellent. I learned a whole heck of a lot there. Makes me feel like a fool for how I've driven at OTD's - but what the heck. It made hitting the apex's even more sweet (knowing how it feels fighting with your car through a turn as opposed to the finesse and speedy exit of the correct way).

My instructor, Chuck, was awesome. The ride in his NSX was pretty sweet too.

I have almost 300 pictures from the event. I glanced at them yesterday, but, haven't spent any time sorting through the good and bad. I will post up some good pics as soon as I can. I also have 2 in-car vids that I'll splice my best laps out of.

I dropped my car off at the dealer yesterday for my new engine. Hopefully I'll have it back next week... ugh.. break-in .. again..

 

Steve - You need to come over and help me out with the vids I took. Hope your car is back fast, your going to need it in 4 weeks!

 

rob, we installed a 3" exhaust on my car (aps) . i'll check the evo out next wednesday.

Yah, it's gorgeous out tonight, I think I'm going to go cruise on Woodward a little bit in a few minutes. Maybe I'll see someone out there tonight?

 

it took more time raise and jack billys car than it took to remove/install his exhaust.

it was fun, and i learned a lot about the Z's underbody. its pretty simple..

billy, did you get the test pipes and down pipes put on yet? i NEEEEEED a ride in it when its all tuned up. actually, ill be at the tune/dyno day....soooo yea.
