Scott
It probably was Aaron.
Glad to see that people are out.
This weekend was awesome, it was good to see all the toys coming out of the garage.

Hey guys, I think I have an exhaust leak already......

After Brian and I put on my plenum spacer yesterday, I started the car up after Brian left and saw that the SES light was on. Checked all the hoses and spacer and everything looked/sounded good. Don't know what it was.

Then today after autox, I heard a hissing coming from underneath the car and it looks like it's coming from the cat area. So either my hfc's cracked already, or I have a leak at a gasket.

Anyhow, I''ll have to throw it up and check it out. If I do have a leak then I might have to pull the HFC's and throw the stock cats on again.

Autox was a blast, I liked it so much that I signed up for all the local AutoX events, became an SCCA member and have also signed up for the Evo school driving class in June.

...........lol you got bit HARD by the bug then deepu lol. Sorry I couldn't take the time to give you more pointers, it was cold and I wanted to get my runs in before it started raining. Hopefully next time I'll be able to help you out more.

Check out my autox log in this thread:

https://my350z.com/forum/autocross-r...-hpde-log.html

Watch carefully how I drive, how I place my car, when I brake/accelerate and try to do it next time out.

I am glad that I was able to get up and drive after all the partying I did last night. Actually, I had a bad hangover all over the day. Just woke up after a few hours nap.

Oh well, there is a first time for everything. I will make sure to show up a bit early from next time. The few pointers you gave me did help me, otherwise I would have been off-course all the 4 times.

Number one investment in autoX'ing other than classes and more events...

KUMHO V710s!! I put them on my Z and I swear... Its an entirely different car. Just get any racing tires for it and your mouth will drop! I bought a set of CHEAP G35 stock rims and put Kumho's on them... sprayed them black with rattle can. It was amazing!

Rob, glad you did well at the event.
That sucks that you have a leak, are you sure it wasn't just water on something hot, sizzling? I know it sounds stupid but its possible. Just want to make sure you look before tearing your car apart.

Deepu, I warned you, that all I am going to say

yeah it could have been that AJ. Cuz I tried to listen to it last night and didn't hear the hissing anymore. I think I need to get the code pulled first. Hopefully it's just something stupid and I don't have to go through all that crap.

I heard autozone doesn't pull codes anymore, guessing I have to go to the stealer?

Sorry to hear that Rob! If there is anything I can do let me know. BTW: Have you checked the three bolts on the inlet side of the test pipes. I remember you used an odd bolt and hopefully it isn't vibrating loose.

Ok so P0444

From my search on the forums it seems like an easy fix/diagnostics.

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...-where-at.html

https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance...rol-valve.html

We probably didn't hook up the vacuum lines or soleniod correctly. Will try to fix tonight so I don't have to worry at autox this Sunday.

Ok false alarm. I'm retarded and didn't hook the solenoid wire harness back up lol. I guess Brian and I were so focused on vacuum hoses we forgot about the wire harness.

I reset the ecu and started it up with no SES light Yay!!! Now I'll check it again when I drove home from work to make sure it doesn't come on anymore. Whew! It's on like donkey kong this weekend!!
